Gravity Delivery Discussion

Hm I didn’t get the covers. I’ll have to ask.

I checked your wheels and they’re the same as mine. I’m currently asking if the “Lucid” cap is replaceable with the “Bear” cap in the inserts otherwise the inserts are wrong. I tried to push it out but gave up for fear of breaking it. It could just need some force but waiting for Lucid to tell me that so if it does break, not my fault, lol.

The inserts on the site have the bear in the center cap.

I'm waiting for my delivery. Does anybody know how many Gravity vehicles have been delivered to date? I know there were a few in 2024 and a few so far in 2025. Does anybody have the numbers and model year information?

Took delivery of my Gravity Dream Edition today (Aurora Green; Tahoe; 22/23) and simultaneously left my 2022 Model X Plaid on their lot in trade. Their offer was better than expected given I had over 70K miles on the Plaid, so I went for it (and the convenience of not having to juggle a private party sale).

...

So say hello to Lucid Gravity Dream Edition #35 aka 'Velocitron' folks!
Congrats!

I don't think I've yet seen a good photo of what the trailer electrical plug looks like on the back of the Gravity. Can you post a picture of that? I'm guessing that it's tucked away, perhaps behind a cover, since it hasn't been visible in any photo I've seen yet.

Oh ok, I'll check.

Inserts?

Sorry. I'm totally clueless about the Gravity. I got it because I like the way it looks and the philosophy behind the company.

I will say the ride is a bit too, floaty? Or balloony? Intend to drive cars that are very firm and stiff. Even our "normal" car, the Forester also doesn't feel like this and it's a Subaru. My gut tells me this is representative of a tire with a lot of sidewall flex and not necessarily the suspension tuning. Surprisingly this is the "sport" package with the big wheels and summer tires.

Is this an EV thing? Extreme weight? Different tire construction philosophy?

I also have never been a fan of PZeros. We had a 981S with PZeros and it had this same feeling. The breakaway characteristics of the tire was very sudden and not progressive. The feeling went away after I swapped the tires to the Re71.

Hurry up and burn through these tires and find something stiffer.
The Gravity is the most unfloaty SUV. What you're feeling is probably the noise/road isolation, it's not noisy, so you have this feeling of everything is just like riding on air and glides through road imperfections. Bentayga and Cullinan gave me this feeling. Also it has a 3-chamber air suspension, that would help with lots of isolation. Put it in Swift or Sprint, and you can feel the suspension stiffen up a bit. and more road presence transfer into cabin.
If you want to talk floaty, try driving a Model X Plaid. lol.

The Gravity feel as planted as my Taycan, whereas the Taycan is a bit more stiff on the road, the Gravity is almost in-between. Not quite as stiff but taunt when necessary.

Unless there is some thing wrong with your suspension. Then might need service to check it out.

They actually presented me with a digital document (which I signed via DocuSign) that listed these two as yet-to-be-delivered (and due to me). They asked me to initial next to each line item. There were only two line items -- an additional key fob and an additional key card.

They didn't tell me when they'd be delivered, but said it'd be "soon". The delivery person also let me know (as I think others in this group have mentioned after their respective Dream Edition deliveries) I should expect "...a few other goodies" for the Dream Edition. I'm assuming this is the aforementioned wine caddy and other kitsch. I'm just happy the frunk seat (with special Dream Edition label) was delivered with my car. Probably the only 'extra' accessory I'll really use.
I thought the frunk cushion's back is suppose to match the interior of the car. Did they change this? So jealous you got yours. That's also probably the only DE stuff we'll use as well.

I was thinking I would need to buy the covers and caps.
Perhaps you received them because you have a GDE?

Anyone with a GGT get the wheel covers and center caps with their Gravity?
I have a GDE and did not receive

I thought same, and even commented about it during the delivery process. One of the delivery folks said they didn't know, and the other said the Tahoe-looking upper on a prototype used in marketing pics at launch didn't make the cut. The one I received is monotone and has "Dream Edition" badging on the upper portion.

I have GGT/AG/Platinum/Tahoe/"21-"22/all options including outlets, no HUD

Female SA.
She's searched for orphans when I was there for the test drive (showed me everything she saw in the system) and when I texted her.
If you've got an SA that will respond to texts or call, that's good.
The one I started with last year (May) when I went to see the prototype, never responded, so I switched.
When I was there in October to see the pre-production model, I saw my new SA and checked with her to make sure the system showed her as my assigned SA.

My timeline:
Feb. 26 - placed order online
May 15 - test drive
July 10 - asked about available models after hearing on forum about possible cars being available
Thanks. Our SA does respond quickly to calls and texts. We would prefer the black, but with everything else you have. Our original order is for Bronze and since that looks like delivery in the very distant future, we were willing to switch to black. But I am getting to the point that I would take almost any color now! We have been without an EV as our main vehicle much longer than we expected.

So I called customer care and the Wheel cap kits apparently are only for DE owners to receive with their vehicles, but it sounds like not even all DE owners got them....

Yeah, that's my one regret really with the vehicle is that it doesn't have power. None of the orphaned vehicles had it. And we have a portable fridge that we use on road trips and our EV9 has one plug in the back we use for it. Not a big loss, but the power outlets would have been nice.
It’s a requirement for us. Silly it’s an issue. Took away the HUD and gave an option for plugs, then can’t get those on cars? Weird.

But the wheel covers are required to get the stated range. Those have been coming with the GGTs, right?

I was (and continue to be) shocked at the noise isolation in the cabin. Mind you, I'm coming from a rather noisy Model X that had 22" wheels and (to borrow a phrase coined by someone else in this group "...creaked and rattled like a pirate ship."

Yes, I can hear road noise, but I don't think I'd categorize it as "noise". It's "sound" that's well muted, and again, I just can't get over the ride quality. This thing rides soooo smoothly in both 'Smooth' and 'Sprint' modes. I started wondering why others who've taken delivery haven't been singing from the rooftops about ride quality, but then remembered a lot of folks are also Lucid Air owners, and are accustomed to Lucid's suspension tuning. I'm all new to the brand, and hadn't previously driven a Lucid -- didn't even get to test drive a Gravity before taking delivery. I walked into this blind, but now TOTALLY see what all the fuss is about. Just Wow!
I can’t wait. Congratulations and thanks for giving your observations to us new Lucid buyers. I’ve also got an X I want to dump.

I too am dumping an X, but it’s worth so little (2022 refresh, etc), we may just keep as a third car.

Love hearing all the feedback and delivery info! Helps me keep hope alive during my Gravity wait.

Yep, the wheel inserts are there. I just want to take them off for daily commuting around town, but without the wheel cap and lug nut covers, it looks horrible.
