Good!
One point for the Gravity!
I'm thinking someone is keeping score?
All rules established? Length of competition, kids' points are weighted, etc.

Air is much more stable now. I would now highly recommend the car.My wife wants a sedan as a “third” car and she wants a Taycan solely because of the issues she’s seen and read about with the Air and Gravity. She likes the Air more, but is afraid of lucid. As I’ve mentioned several times, I love my Gravity and expected issues. If my wife ever experienced a fob issue or sw glitch, she’d stop driving the car.
I won’t buy a new Taycan for the reasons mentioned above, but may be in the market for a used one at some point.
No. No one on the forum can explain and I agree, makes no sense. I expect they’ll open it up more at some point…Can someone explain to me why “Live View” and Halo recording are not available while charging? This seems absurd. I’ve got a scratch in my driver’s window. The only time the car was out my sight was while it was charging at a friend’s apartment complex during dinner.
Fair point. The complete randomness of some of the glitches reinforces the impression that the developers have zero idea what is really going on with their tech stack. Lot's of long-term Lucid leadership headed for the exits in the last 12 months contributing to my growing sense of unease about the future prospects for this company.I think what really triggers people is the grotesque randomness of the car's behavior. It's one thing to accept that a certain feature is consistently broken or undeveloped due to early release or new technology, but it's a different thing when something works perfectly fine sometimes, but not always and you know it will likely fail at the worst possible moment, completely unexpected for no rhyme or reason, and later will recover as if nothing happened. I think we develop a Pavlovian response to these bugs, which can't be healthy. My emotional response can go from laughing it off to wanting to drive it off the cliff and collect insurance.
They should have just stuck with 2.0 for the Gravity instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.Yea I don't see them dumping 3.0.
Beyond the fact that a single means of access should be enough? The gym lockers are secured by a means that has proven easy to overcome so wallet with the standard fare remains in the car, the FOB in my pocket. Obvious solution would be to deploy the key card at the gym in my pocket. Seriously should any of this be necessary? I am a fan of the car and for the most part I am happy to tolerate the idiosyncrasies of the software bugs as time seems to heal them all. Frankly locking and unlocking a car should not be something that owners should have to deal with. This is a function that has never been an issue on any car I have owed from a 1968 Ford Cortina Mk1 to a 2022 TeslaIs there a reason you leave the key card inside the car, other than it being your preference/habit?
Could not the fob and card be kept in a locker during your workout?
I'm just trying to understand why you leave the key card inside the car, when it could be used as an alternative method to unlock the car and further minimize the possible need for roadside assistance. Similar to your experience with the car locking while you were washing it. You had another way to unlock the car; keycard.

Eh it’s still no Taycan. Wish I’d got the Taycan.Air is much more stable now. I would now highly recommend the car.
Update on the left steering pad not working. We have to take it in as an engineering problem that mobil service can't fix. So my guess is we get a new steering wheel too. How long did the service appointment take for you with that? The service tech we have been working with said they have steering wheels and pads in stock, once they determine what needs to be replaced. We can't get into Tysons SC until Dec 9, however, and that is apparently because an opening came up. They are booked out through mid-January otherwise! I asked about an alternative to a hard reboot if we need that, and he said letting the car "go to sleep" should clear problems and it takes about 20 minutes for the car to fall asleep (wish I could fall asleep that quickly). Does this fall asleep generally work to clear a problem? That was me. I’m not sure if the entire wheel HAS to be replaced, but they didn’t find an easy solution at the time to solve it quickly. I think they’d likely just change the whole wheel until they can further isolate the issue. Mine was the first one they had seen with that issue.
Yes on sleep helping, but totally depends on the issue and the vehicle. What works for one Gravity doesn’t work for another, so it’s challenging.Update on the left steering pad not working. This has been my issue with EVERY EV I’ve test driven that wasn’t built by an EV only manufacturer. They’re “fine”, “meh”, etc on software, but it’s far from their focus or strength and just looks craptastic from a UI perspective. It always seems to be an afterthought.Taycan s/w is buggy. The voice recognition seldom works, LTE connectivity is spotty and the software just looks and feels outdated. Where we are in terms of s/w on the Gravity and the bugs, its leaps and bounds on what the Taycan offers (different vehicles too)
The Gravity UX/Ui in my opinion is actually well thought out and is a good evolution from the Air. Compared to the Germans everything is easy to find and not buried menus deep. I remember when I owned the e-Tron it had 2 settings menus (why?) and things were buried 4 or 5 layers deep to a point where you could never remember where things were. Yes, it was stable but the overall experience was far from perfect. As annoying and intolerable as the bugs are, I like the overall Gravity UX and UI, so I am hoping they do continue to improve stability.
Concur. Had the Taycan for 5 years. Software was NOT it's strength! It had almost as many bugs as the Gravity in it's first year, but to Porsche's credit, they steadily knocked them out. The interface tho and features are still well behind what Gravity and Air are doing.Taycan s/w is buggy. From watching the discussion about all the weird bugs, I think there is some chance that there's a problem in a core inter-module messaging library that generates non-deterministic bugs when different modules are failing to handshake properly. I could easily be wrong. But it could turn out that fixing a common messaging problem could fix a bunch of the bugs.Fair point.
