Yes. It not only resets to "Zen", it also goes back to full brightness. It's just another one of the things we have to reset every time we get in the car (although only at night for this one) -- along with getting back to Tidal or Spotify because the car resets on Sirius, and adjusting the suspension height which stays on the last (usually low) setting although the drive mode resets to "Smooth", which should return the suspension height to standard.
I find this last one particularly annoying. I usually drive in Swift mode but manually adjust the suspension to low. But upon restart, the car has reverted to Smooth mode but the suspension remains set to low. That would be fine if it held that once I switched back to Swift mode to get underway. But as soon as I get underway the suspension starts raising itself, and I have to go back to the screen to lower it. I know that EPA regs require the car to default to the most efficient drive mode upon starting up, but I really wish Lucid would make "low" the default suspension height when going to Swift mode, as most drivers probably choose it for a bit more sporting drive where you would want a lower suspension setting.
But back to the ambient light issue: when we go back to the menu to turn the brightness down and change the color, the color will switch but the rotary brightness control does nothing. The only way we can get the brightness down is to turn the ambient lighting off and then back on, at which time it finally goes to both the color and brightness settings we had set it to earlier.
Getting underway in the Gravity is a royal pain. As frustrated as I am that it didn't even make to a finalist slot for Motor Trend's SUV of the Year, I can actually understand why. The ever evolving arrTotally with you. I’ve got the same problem, and service insists it’s not hardware-related. Hoping the next software update finally addresses it.ay of glitches just so dampen the driving experience.
