Yes. The back-and-forth spinning of the satellite map before the image froze went on for long enough that I managed to capture it on video -- a video which I sent to the Service Center.

I honestly don't know how you've been able to put up with everything you've been through. I know it takes a lot of patience to have a Lucid, but maybe you should think about changing your username to Job ....
 
Following advice on this forum, I had disengaged the Auto Lock/Unlock feature for the car. However, now that 3.3.2 had been downloaded to the car, I decided to activate the feature today to give it a try.

After walking away from the car, going inside, and waiting a few minutes the doors remained unlocked and the car powered up. So I checked the settings and found the Auto Lock/Unlock was still engaged. So I tried to use the key fob to lock the car, but there was no response. The car remained unlocked.

Then I remembered a discussion here about sometimes having to remove and reinstall the battery in the fob to get it back into service. That worked, and the car auto locked as I walked away.

But, honestly . . . WTF?

And thank goodness people come onto this forum to discuss the problems they are having with their cars so that other owners can learn these tricks and work-arounds in the ongoing quest to get their Gravities to work.
 
New one for me - could be from colder weather…

Anyone else have squeaking and whining coming from the front HVAC vents upon startup? Sound goes away in <30 seconds or so, but reminds me of my Oldsmobile from 25+ years ago. It’s been happening each time I start the car the last couple of days.
 
The second row squeak! I’ve caught it now. Argh. Wow. It’s super annoying. Partially because the car is so darn quiet usually! Changing seat positions doesn’t seem to have an impact, nor does having someone in the seat(s).

Has anyone had it permanently solved without the MacGyver zip tie solution?

We've used the zip tie solution . . . which failed within the first 30 minutes of driving.

In our car, at least, running the second-row seats about 1/2" forward of full back position resolves the problem with no appreciable loss of legroom.

We've had a mobile tech and a Service Center work on the issue, and I've finally concluded it's here to stay and that we'll just have to live with the workaround.
 
Mobile service stopped by to put my DE badges on my fender and lift gate. They were also able to update my key and now I have no issues including no “key not detected” warning so far.

Before, my key wasn’t able to put the car into drive. I only get the warning when I first turn on the car.

The DE badges didn't come with the car?
 
Hey guys i'm thinking about starting a petition or a change.org to ask for Lucid to prioritize the Phone as key thing before anything else for Gravity, from what i've seeing this is the #1 problem that almost everyone had at least once (fobs or cards)... something like this... (text is just a first pass)

Want to know what you guys think, and ideas of where should i post it to get more owners joining:

We, the undersigned Lucid Gravity owners, reservation holders, and prospective customers, request that Phone-as-Key to be prioritized as a P0 (top-priority) feature and released before additional non-critical UX enhancements. Daily access is the core of ownership; carrying a fob/keycard undermines convenience, accessibility, and parity with the market.


Our Request


  1. Commit publicly to delivering Phone-as-Key v1 on Gravity as the next priority software item.
  2. Offer an opt-in beta/early access for interested owners.
  3. Share a clear ETA and status updates.
Why This Matters
  • Daily usability: Hands full, kids, groceries, gym, winter gloves—owners need effortless entry and drive-off.
  • Accessibility & safety: Reduces lockout risk and improves walk-away security.
  • Competitive parity: Modern EVs ship with reliable phone-as-key; Gravity should meet or exceed that baseline.
  • Support load: Fewer access/friction tickets and roadside calls.
Minimum Viable v1 Scope
  • Background BLE proximity unlock/lock and drive-enable when an authorized phone is present.
  • Walk-away lock that reliably engages (target ≥95% reliability).
  • iOS and Android parity for v1 (feature availability and reliability).
  • Offline first: Works without cellular/Wi-Fi once keys are provisioned.
  • Security: Key material stored in secure enclaves/keystores; revocation via app/account.

Appreciate the idea, but think Lucid knows the issues and will prioritize as they can.

I also think something like what you wrote could do more harm than good as one of the craptastic sites will pick it up and blow it of proportion.

They do come w/ the car, but at least for mine they weren't installed by default. I asked them to do it; apparently, their techs have tools to align them better than I can do it freehand.

I recently saw this video trying to diagnose the source of a second row squeak. Does this sound like the same squeak or is it more of a rattle?

Jokes aside, keep moving it in different positions. I've found If the double seat is more forward than the single the noise disappears but in other seating positions it's evident. You need to find the sweet spot. Mine is in the shop now, hopefully it's addressed upon return. They've had it for a week already.

Yep just found mine when I had to use the heater for the first time.

Also, no one knows what's going on behind the scenes. It's not like Lucid can just turn it on even if it is ready and working in testing. Because it's tied into Apple they need to submit to Apple to have it all certified. Apple is very difficult to deal with and have very stringent standards so none of us know whether Lucid submitted for approval and Apple rejected it for some reason or its currently sitting with Apple awaiting approval. If it is with Apple then they will get round to approving when they see fit and not a moment earlier, they're a very difficult company to work with at times.

Is your key fob updated? We just had ours updated today.

Ohhhh. You better look for that Certificate of Authenticity in the mail then. Could be one of the knock offs…
