Gravity Bugs / Issues

One other buggy thing - the massage turns itself “off” on the driver side randomly. If I then mess with it and turn it on and then off, it seems to restart fine. Is it supposed to auto shut off after some time period?

I believe the massage function is programmed to turn off after (maybe) 20 minutes, as it is in the Air. However, @borski has reported that it does not turn itself off in his Air, and it sometimes doesn't in ours. We haven't tried the massage function in the Gravity for long enough to know.

You may have. But some of these software features are turning themselves off and on spontaneously. It's happened in our car with the ride height adjustment in the easy entry/exit menu, with C/F temperature readouts, with exceeding speed limit alerts, with lane keeping intervention, with drowsy driver alerts, with the dashboard accent light strip, with turn signal canceling . . . .

And it doesn't always happen during startup or shutdown. Sometimes it happens while driving down the road, so it's not really something you can check the menus for before you start driving.

None of this has rendered the car undriveable, but it's a new ride almost every day.

The only reason this is not freaking me totally out is that it's so similar to the first 10 months of our Air Dream while it was still on UX 1.0 -- and things were eventually sorted out, beginning with UX 2.0 in October 2022. But, for all the hype about UX 3.0 being a new day with Lucid software, it's just UX 1.0 all over again it seems, except with a bunch of new features to go haywire.
If settings are randomly getting turned back on it might be due to the driver profile loading glitches people have reported? I have had settings change in the Air after getting it back from service so that’s something to watch out for. Also a big one with the Air is that when put into and then taken back out of service mode, the car defaults to roll mode instead of hold mode, so that’s not fun when you think your car is rolling to a stop and it continues to roll at 1-2mph. If you put it in park you can switch it back. But I’ve reproduced this on the last few service visits I’ve had.

It definitely turns itself off in our Air.

I didn’t time it. Just realized it was off after a while. But I think it didn’t just turn back on when I set it do so. I think I had to mess with it a bit. Oh well, will have to get back in and drive with massage for a while…😆

I've used mine for over an hour at a time and it hadn't shut off.

For those who’ve had the Gravity for a bit, can the app be trusted for updates like whether AC is on?

I just went to turn on the AC before I get into car, and it appears to be on, but before it turned on, I got a message saying my windows were open so the temp might not be reached. Except, my windows weren’t open.

I've done it a couple of times and so far, it has worked just fine. Hopefully I didn't just jinx it!🤣

Yeah…not sure I am leaving my dog in the Gravity unattended quite yet…
I’ve been using the climate keep in the car and remote AC via the app since 3.2.2 fixed it and has worked with no issues.

It's amazing how badly driver profiles are executed in new EVs. They were a mess in our 2021 Mustang Mach-E, they're a mess in our 2025 Porsche Macan EV, and sounds like they're a mess in the Gravity.

They suck in our Volvo also. My wife’s fob is programmed for her, mine is programmed for me, half the time it doesn’t remember her seat or mirrors so we gave up and I deleted my profile.

My solution is not to let my wife, or anyone else, drive the Gravity. There can be only one.

Oh, I thought I remembered an earlier post you put up about this. Did something get fixed, or did I just have a brain burp?
