Picking my Lucid Touring up on Friday. I’m in Canada and unfortunately we are required to have a front plate. On my Porsche Spyder I have a solution from a company called Carbonio . I sent them an email with pics and they don’t have a solution. I really don’t want to drill into front of car. Anyone have a solution that works for them.

I picked up my Lucid Air Touring last month and they installed the front license plate for me as it’s also required here. If your local Lucid shop doesn’t know how to put them on, tell them to call the Natick, MA shop and I’m sure they can tell them how to do it.
hi I used M3 double tape and they hold strong. you can ask tint shops and they will tell you which one to buy

The question is do they enforce the absence of a front plate in Canada? Here in NY front plates are required but it’s extremely rare to be pulled over for only that. If you’re pulled over for some more serious infraction you can then be cited for the lack of a front plate. I was told this by a highway patrol cop I’d occasionally see at a 7-11. I haven’t had a front plate for years and have driven by countless cops and never got pulled over.
With that said you can get a ticket, as I discovered, in some small towns that are cash hungry. I was parked in Pt Jefferson and a town cop had a ball ticketing all the cars, including mine, without front plates. I’ve heard this happens in the Hamptons too, but thus far I’ve been lucky when I’ve parked there.
When I’m really concerned about a particular town, we use my wife’s BMW i5, which has a Sto N Sho setup. Unfortunately I don’t believe they’re currently available for a Lucid.

Porsche Spyder has been ok so far but I did get a ticket on my Ferrari 360 Spyder for not having one - he pulled me over for that - radar unmarked car - not for speeding but because of no front plate. Ironically Lucid gave me a car this past weekend to try out - dealer plate so no front plate required. That’s how dumb the law is here.
To the people putting front plates on their cars, have you actually tried driving without a front plate? I've been driving no front plate for close to 10 years, have gotten pulled over countless times for other things, but never has a cop mentioned me having no front plate. I am in NJ where front plates are required by law.
I've been driving without a front plate for many years in California. I don't want to jinx myself, but I've never been pulled over. I have a Lucid loaner with a front plate and I hate how it looks.
I ordered a decal plate from https://adhesivereplica.com/ - easily removed with hot water, doesn't require any penetrations on the bumper. And they're legal, at least in California. Not sure about Canada.
I live in California where a front plate is legally required, and faced the same issue. I explored every option available, including sending photos of my Lucid's front to a company to see if they could fabricate a removable plate holder. I came up empty-handed.
I previously owned a Tesla and had a no-drill plate holder which I took on/off as necessary -- putting it on if I parked where I knew that the parking enforcement people would potentially ticket me for lack of a plate. One day, I forgot to put it on and got a ticket.
I debated between having Lucid drill the front bumper for a permanent mount of the plate vs using one of the adhesive plates that are legal in CA. Since I'm leasing the car, I came to the conclusion that it wasn't worth the hassle of putting the adhesive plate on the car since I would be returning the car to the leasing company at the end of my 3 year term. Honestly, the permanently mounted front plate doesn't look that bad on my Air, and I no longer am concerned about getting a ticket while parked, or having a police officer use the lack of a plate as an excuse to pull me over.
I live in CA, and have received "fix it" tickets in two jurisdictions for driving without a front plate on my former Tesla. Both tickets were issued while parked in a metered space.

NJ here as well. I apologize to my fellow NJ-ians but I have no front plate (which is odd b/c generally I am a rule follower to a fault). I just can't do it on this car. I had my prior EV for 3 years and only ticket I got was in a sweep in NYC where they blocked the road and looked for any infraction they could find. I put it on at it was weeks before my lease return, uploaded photos of the plate on the day after, hoped for a kind judge or way out, plead not guilty and had a video hearing. Somehow that it was a lease (and maybe that I had returned the car by the time of my hearing) resulted in the ticket being dismissed. Victory. Hopefully won't have too much trouble here, but I'd pay the ticket to keep my AT front-plate free. NJ legislature had proposed a no front plate law but I think it stalled or was possibly rejected unfortunately. I heard PA may go the other way and go back to front plate required.
Ummm, not really legal in Callifornia. Here's their own wording: "These are strictly novelty items and not meant to replace official California DMV-issued plates." However, there is one company that has a legal relationship with DMV: https://licenseplatewrap.com/. I used theirs for my front license display and it looks decent. Only warning, it can be a little tricky applying it without tearing it. I had a shop do it.
