Floor mat safety issue

How did they sell mats without an anchor point after Toyota spent $3.2B fixing unanchored mats in 2009.

I assume you mean the rubber all-weather mats? I really wish those would velcro or fasten onto the floor the way the carpet mats do.

I haven't had mine slide that far forward. So far, mine only seems to shift to the right as I'm stepping in.

I tried at one point to stick some velcro patches in the correct spots to match what's on the carpet for the built-in mats. But they fell off quickly. I wonder if one could bolt velcro pads on those spots somehow?

I used this industrial strength Velcro tape, and so far so good, the mat hasn't moved since applying it.
I cleaned the bottom of the mat very well before applying it, to make sure it sticks well.

I've struggled with the all weather mats for the past 9 months. I tried the Velcro fix suggested earlier in this thread and it's working great!
