Folks,

I am new to the community and find the posts extremely helpful. I love my GT, and my other car is an '88 911 with 220,000 miles including six thousand track miles mostly at Road America. I bought the floor mat package and today when I was at full throttle passing a truck, the pedal got wedged by the mat. I hit the brakes, and the pedal released after which I grabbed the mat and pulled it back toward the seat. Since once is enough and fortunately I had enough room to slow the car down, I immediately removed the driver's side mat when I arrived at my destination. If I can find a way to anchor it so I am sure it will not slide forward, I will put it back but for now, it is in the truck.

Be safe,

Robert

I assume you mean the rubber all-weather mats? I really wish those would velcro or fasten onto the floor the way the carpet mats do.

I haven't had mine slide that far forward. So far, mine only seems to shift to the right as I'm stepping in.

I tried at one point to stick some velcro patches in the correct spots to match what's on the carpet for the built-in mats. But they fell off quickly. I wonder if one could bolt velcro pads on those spots somehow?

Joe, these are the optional rubber mats which I got in tan to match my two-tone interior. Until I find a reliable solution besides a hammer and nails, the drivers mat will not be used. I am also disappointed that they easily pickup black scuff marks from shoes and are hard to clean.

I know you likely did, but just to check, were the carpeted mats removed before placing the all-weather mats?

Interestingly, I just noticed that the Lucid Store now has floor mats with "anchor posts" available. I don't recall whether those were available previously since I ordered the regular ones.

Take out, apply soap and water, brush with some sort of soft brush (I use a tire brush), rinse, set against a wall to dry. Mine are clean as new after 1.5 years. 🤷‍♂️

FWIW, my 2025 Touring has mat posts front and rear (I don't know the details of what Airs/Years do or don't have posts). I got the Luicd all weather mats w/post holes and love them (I know they don't have any sidewall coverage compare to others - which is ok by me). They appear to be very high quality and have some subtleness to them, unlike some all weather mats in other cars I've had (i.e. feel much better when I drive with bare feet). The posts work as expected, mats are securely in place.

Interesting, could you take a picture of the mat underside and floor? I have the same problem with the driver's side floor mat shifting to the right every time I get in.

Sure, here ya go. Also they have little spikes on the underside to keep the mats in place. Raining here today and I was happy to have them (plus I just like all weather mats better than carpeted ones).

Folks, I did take out the OEM mat and clearly, they sold me the old ones to make room for the new ones with anchor posts.

Anyone k ie what color all weather mats to get with the Santa Cruz interior?

I got the ceramic ones for my Santa Cruz interior. They match great. Prior to that I had the graphite, and they looked good, too.

The ceramic shows dirt and shoe scuffs way more easily, of course. But I don't mind scrubbing them often to keep them mostly clean.

I had no idea they now make ones with the posts. I'm guessing these are only compatible with 2025 model cars?

No idea. @tonybot said his 2024 Pure came with them. I assume they made the switch sometime in the recent past?

Yep. 2024 Pure made in April 2024. Surely got them. Didn't know vehicles came without it!

I have the Tahoe colored ones for my 23 and they don’t have posts but I’ve never had them slide at all.

Earlier ones have velcro mounts, but the all-weather floor mats don't have the attachment point.

The 3dmats I use do.
