First pre-production Gravity reviews are coming in

@SaratogaLefty - a lot of mention of V2H in these Gravity reviews! Also Android Auto.
Yes, V2H mentions caught my eye as well. Here's to hoping that V2H may be ready soon for both the Gravity and Air.

390mm 6 piston Brembo front, 4 piston rear, top speed over 149mph

Weight around 6300, third row adds about 130# and interior dimensions attached.

Add salt as necessary.

"At one point, I forgot I was in an SUV until I checked my rearview mirror and saw three rows behind me. "

Some decades ago I was at an auto show and got behind the wheel of a mini van. "This isn't so bad." I thought. Then looked in the rear-view. Nope.

So I began my parent journey with Volvo wagons: first a 1998 V70R and then a 2006 V70R...which had rear booster seats that would pop-up for toddlers.
The cars had transverse-mounted I-5 turbocharged engines = turning radius of about 120 meters. You had to learn 3-point turns, at the very least.

finally I graduated to the small V8 biturbo:

E63s. Only a Lucid could pry this from my hands.

I see SUVs as a crime against humanity. Lucid should have named it "The Abomination"

I appreciate all the work folk have done to gather reviews / comments.

Don't care for SUVs or the folk who drive them. There is no need for another 3-ton "never off the road" vehicle with one person inside.
Marketing Ploy

That said I understand the market has forced Lucid to play this civilization-ending game. I hope it's a financial success for Lucid. Climate Change is a hoax anyway, right? right?

We've taken our Air off road several times on long road trips. There are many more times we've left it at home due to its lack of ground clearance. I really need an SUV.

I have wished, many times, for an SUV. Not sure I need 3 rows, but it’s fun to travel with friends. There are simply places my Air cannot take me as it is too low.

We currently take the Ioniq 5. It’s fine enough, but it’s not great; it’s good.

I hate driving SUVs. But it sounds like Peter does too, so that’s a good sign.

Forgot this pic. I'm thinking of placing an order for Gravity once Android Auto is OTA'd. Lucid's nav just won't get you to many interesting places.

Minivans are cool. Have a kid and you’ll agree.

Even if you never have a kid, they’re unbeatably practical, and in the case of Honda Odysseys, a lot of fun to drive. I was pretty excited when I got my second and last minivan. That was in late 2016, when I bought my last ICE vehicle. Our house went all EV the following year.

Now that Gravity is officially introduced, I see it has a number of options to add to it beyond the base.

Is there a convenient chart/matrix/configuration tool somewhere?

If I start with a Gravity GT, add all the compatible options (tow pkg, 3rd row seats, all the electronic/SW options, etc.) what $ would it come to?

There are so many comments about it looking like a minivan...but there's no way you can get the space inside without that shape. It's just impossible and the minivan form is the most efficient way. SUV for off-road utility, minivan for space utility, Lucid for sport utility. Best Damn Car
It absolutely looks like a mini van. Whoever doesn't agree is saying it doesn't because it's so silly that it does lol

But… don’t you hate minivans (and therefore decided to get 2 Suburbans because of it)? 🤣
You have a very good memory. I think many recent ones are cool: my daughter has a new Kia Carnival and it’s pretty freaking nice. My wife has a thing against minivans, though. That’s why we have had two Suburbans, an Expedition, two GLs, and now an Explorer. I thought the Gravity would be the perfect vehicle for us, with two young grandkids, but my wife still has anti-minivan thing, and in her eyes, (I don’t agree) Gravity has too much of a minivan vibe to it. It’s a shame, because I would’ve loved to have had one. So instead, we are getting something different.

I actually never thought it looked like a minivan. But now with these new reviews and walkarounds, it looks so much like an Odyssey to me with the slim headlights. Even the lead picture in the savagegeese video is like wow, big time minivan vibes. Imagine if they had put sliding doors on the Gravity. Would've been perfect!

Just stating the obvious here, but: From a purely utilitarian standpoint, the ideal embodiment of a practical vehicle for carrying people and their stuff is a box on wheels - a minivan. It's a shame that "shape" is so unfashionable. I think it's kind of insane that people buy things like Suburbans to less conveniently do what a minivan would do better purely as a fashion choice. It's completely illogical in 99% of cases.

I have been really excited because EV power/drivetrains can elevate the box on wheels form factor to something that accelerates and drives in a fun and engaging way, with lower CoG, huge torque, weight balance, etc. I was hoping the ID Buzz would be a lot better executed - not to mention they've been teasing it for so many years. I think the Gravity is a nearly perfect embodiment of the box on wheels while unlocking the driving dynamics made possible by EV drivetrain. I can't wait for mine!

And it does have huge minivan vibes. I'm hoping in person the proportions make it look more like an overgrown wagon. And I'm sort of torn because part of me wishes that it did have sliding doors. But even I, a pretty staunch minivan defender, admit to being swayed by fashionability too.

Just get the big wheels and leave it on highest ride height all the time:)

Shell Creek Road, Carrizo Plain?
Yes, and Simmler Rd in the same area. Also Twentynine Palms-Joshua Tree in the southern CA desert, and Hot Creek in the eastern Sierra.

Love arguments that boil down to “I’m right because I’m right” :p
