[Edmunds] TESTED: 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring Misses EPA Range by Nearly 80 Miles

. . . as you’ll see on their [Edmunds] site they all generally despise the car and seem to be finding rather inane things to pick on . . . .

Edmunds is more at the Consumer Guide end of the reviewer spectrum, aimed at an audience looking for value-priced, practical transportation rather than at car aficionados. I think this is why Edmunds and Consumer Guide tend to arrive at a "poor value" conclusion on the Air by nitpicking things such as leather smell or mirror folding.

This is in contrast to the far more glowing reviews of the Air from such performance car enthusiasts as Car & Driver, Motor Trend, Throttle House, Ben "The Stig" Collins, Doug DeMuro, Jason Cammisa, et al., and more recently from techno-heads such as Sandy Munro who was blown away by Lucid's drivetrain technology.

Edmunds and Consumer Guide are the "Everyman" of auto journalism. Lucid Air buyers aren't the "Everyman" of car owners.
