I have Dream Drive Pro in my Air GTP.

I really like the latest Dream Drive UI in the 2.5 software update. That being said, I have encountered several issues with it...

- It is not unusual for Dream Drive to either not work (seems like it's "on" but not able to engage it) when I have first started driving the car. (It happens perhaps 1 out of 10 times.) When this happens, there is no error from the Dream Drive system.

- I have noticed that if I hit the steering wheel button to activate Dream Drive, accidentally hit the button to turn off Dream Drive, and then try to hit the button again immediately to turn it back on, Dream Drive will no longer work (as described above). When this happens, there is no error from the Dream Drive system.

- If I have Dream Drive on (and it's working) and I press the accelerator peddle to go around a car (without disengaging Dream Drive), the Dream Drive system will get an error and stop working. (For this to happen, it seems like I have to accelerate at least 10mph over the set speed .)

In all cases, the Dream Drive (or cruise control) functionality will not work until the car is rebooted. Turning the Dream Drive system off and back on again does not resolve the problem.

It would be great if there was at least some kind of work around, like holding down the "x" button on the steering wheel for 10 or 20 seconds, that would reboot/reinitialize the Dream Drive system, without having to pull over and reboot the car.

Can you take a video of these scenarios (or have someone else take one)? I have performed all of these actions and not run into this, so seeing it would help us figure out if it’s a user error issue (which I’m not blaming on you; that would actually be a UX issue, usually) or a real problem with your car.

I need to get something like a GoPro and put it in my car (perhaps attached to the roof). It's very difficult for me to hold my phone in my hand a video this occurrence when it's happening.

Yeah, understood; stay safe first and foremost. That’s why I suggested a passenger. :)

I am having the exact same issue, unbelievably frustrating to start out an hour and a half commute through traffic and then go to engage dream drive and have it not work, I usually cannot pull over and reboot the car in these circumstances I'm just stuck driving the car myself. They need to push an update and fix this ASAP

I have encountered this just now. 6:09 PM I got “Front right radar fault”. This had been happening sporadically but never tried to engage HA right after.

Today this happend on highway and o tried to engage HA so that I can record but it doesn’t want to engage. See the recording and it just makes a noise when I am pressing the left control. This is my work commute and I use HA without any issues everyday everyone.

After several thousand miles of my using DD Pro since the 2.4.x update, this has only happened to be twice. Once it was in the middle of a drive between Southern California and Phoenix, AZ where Highway Assist essentially stopped working during the drive, and it took out Adaptive Cruise with it, so I was effectively unable to engage any of the DDP features and had to (gasp) lane keep and throttle/brake myself. Once I got to my destination in PHX and the car went to deep sleep, everything worked as normal the next drive. And then just last weekend, Highway Assist stopped working for me in the middle of a drive and would not re-engage, but this time Adaptive Cruise still worked. Once again, putting the car to sleep resolved it.

I occasionally will accidentally turn it off after activating it, but I have never had an issue with immediately reactivating it.

I do this frequently with HA enabled, and I have never experienced an issue with getting a DD error. It just says override for me and lets me go about my business with increasing speed manually, until I ease off the throttle and get the speeds back down to my preset.
