I have Dream Drive Pro in my Air GTP.
I really like the latest Dream Drive UI in the 2.5 software update. That being said, I have encountered several issues with it...
- It is not unusual for Dream Drive to either not work (seems like it's "on" but not able to engage it) when I have first started driving the car. (It happens perhaps 1 out of 10 times.) When this happens, there is no error from the Dream Drive system.
- I have noticed that if I hit the steering wheel button to activate Dream Drive, accidentally hit the button to turn off Dream Drive, and then try to hit the button again immediately to turn it back on, Dream Drive will no longer work (as described above). When this happens, there is no error from the Dream Drive system.
- If I have Dream Drive on (and it's working) and I press the accelerator peddle to go around a car (without disengaging Dream Drive), the Dream Drive system will get an error and stop working. (For this to happen, it seems like I have to accelerate at least 10mph over the set speed .)
In all cases, the Dream Drive (or cruise control) functionality will not work until the car is rebooted. Turning the Dream Drive system off and back on again does not resolve the problem.
It would be great if there was at least some kind of work around, like holding down the "x" button on the steering wheel for 10 or 20 seconds, that would reboot/reinitialize the Dream Drive system, without having to pull over and reboot the car.
