Demo models for sale

Thanks @Shane_SLC and @andrew61

Figured out why it was not showing for me. When I use my local New York zip, it shows the default options but if I use a CA zip, there is a new option to choose between new and demo. Very interesting.

$52k huh? OUCH!! What year is yours & how many miles do you have?
Like carvana carmax also probably lowball a lot. Crarvanna offered me 4.5k for my Lexus LS 430 97k 2006. Lowball on Craigslist was 10k. I sold for 13k

Wonder if they'd move these loaners / demo units if you could lease them similar to Benz and BWM loaners...

You think the prices on used Lucids are bad, how about my Genesis electrified G80. Bought it new for about $81K and sold it several months later, with only 3700 miles, for mid 50s. That was the highest offer I got from a multitude of dealers. The car sits there 6 months later, at the BMW dealer that bought it, unsold. Resale on Genesis EVs is horrendous. For that reason alone, and as nice a car as it is, I’d never buy another Genesis.
Lucken, I have been looking at buying a used Electrified G80; what made you sell the vehicle so soon? Thanks

There was nothing wrong with our Electrified G80, it was an excellent car. What happened was pure & simple, I got a call that the Lucid Air Pure was finally available. At that point either our i4 or G80 had to go and we enjoyed driving the i4 too much to part with it, so the G80 had to go.

With that said, if you decide to buy an Electrified G80, I would caution you to hold on to it for an extended period, otherwise the depreciation will be extremely painful. Several dealers refused to even consider buying the car, with one saying in his 20 years of buying luxury cars, he’d never encountered a scenario like this where he wouldn’t even give me an offer.

Lucken, it is very kind of you to respond to me so promptly. I have been considering purchasing my first electric car. Given that this is my first foray into electric vehicles, I determined, potentially Illogically, that I would begin with a used electric car and in that context, a used 2023 Electrified, Genesis G80, given the large depreciation on the vehicle and the remaining Warranty (longer if I buy a Certified example), offered a solution. I have also been considering purchasing a Demo Lucid Grand Air Touring, the purchase cost of which is undeniably higher, but leaning against doing so given the potential for a higher depreciation impact. I know that those two choices are not necessarily comparable, but if you did have any advice for me, given that you have experienced both vehicles, I would certainly appreciate hearing from you. Wishing you a pleasant weekend and thanking you again.

It really depends on what you're looking for in an EV. The G80's interior is a bit more 'posh' than the Lucid. The Lucid's luxury is a bit more understated than the G80 and some prefer that while others don't. However if you enjoy 'driving' a car, then the Lucid is the better vehicle for your consideration. It handles better and is more of a driver's car. Aesthetics is in the eye of the beholder, so my preference for the looks of the Lucid relative to the G80 is academic. I'd strongly recommend you test drive both cars before deciding.

Best of luck.
