Days Since The Last Major Feature Release... Yikes!

Doesnt say these enhancements will come to the air. If gravity has any or all these features and air has some, they will have delivered on the presentation's promises.

Actually, these were positioned as enhancements to the Air, and many of them already have been delivered. Relative to commitments made, I think that some (like the dash cam) are bonus features. There are other Gravity enhancements that we can hope will come to the Air.

Well luckily they didn't put a timeline on them. Charging expectations are high.

Yeah it’s very disappointing. When I leased this car I was expecting ( based on previous years updates, and taking with Lucid representatives) that my car will be very frequently updated and receive new features.
It’s definitely a big factor for me leasing another one in 10 months .
Ps . For the lucid fanboys please don’t tell me just to enjoy how nice the car drives ! That’s not the point

For two and a half years of ownership, my expectations for OTAs have been met. Would it be nice to get Gravity-like system upgrades? Of course, but I bought an AGT. And, yes, the car is a joy to drive. If that makes me a "fanboy", then be it so. Please find a more capable EV and let us know your answer.

If xiaomi ever makes it to the US! Glad to see you enjoying the lucid! Hopefully you let others know your enjoyment in real life. While people that are unhappy usually make the most noise it does help to push companies to innovate and deliver on expectations.

Think about what lucid would be like if no one set expectations above ux 1.x and people only enjoyed 4 wheels and 1234 HP!

Why do you believe that ziaomi is better than the AGT?

Generally I think innovative competition is healthy. And 1550hp is insane especially at a $70k price point (obviously all subsidized by the CCP). Additionally the xiaomi was relatively more feature rich when I drove it, including parking summoning, hands free driving, heads up display, sentry mode (lots of stuff Tesla has). Finishes weren't as nice though as lucid.

Of course, innovative competition is healthy and benefits consumers. That is why I bought the AGT in 2022. When do you think that it will be available in the USA? Given the CCP subsidy, it will likely have a very large tariff should it ever be approved for import here. Maybe it will still be attractive at twice the price mentioned.

Chinese autos are essentially banned from the USA due to suspicions about their software. It's not just tariffs.

It’s not just suspicions, either. That was a problem we were talking about when I was still working intel, and I can all but guarantee it’s a problem today.

I just did a quick search for the following video I recalled from back in 2015, where hackers were able to remotely disable the brakes on a Jeep Cherokee. Imagine the potential for havoc with anyone having access like that!

Does anyone know if cars no longer allow such intervention when they are in motion? One would think that anything incoming other than infotainment would be off-limits.

Pre-Covid, when travelling on official business to that part of the world, IT gave us each a laptop to use just for the trip. They didn't want us to use our personal laptops. Upon return, we returned them to IT.
What they'd do with the laptops, I have no idea, but rumors had it that they wouldn't reuse them.

People call me paranoid, but this is what I do too. And what I recommend others do.

(And to be clear, if I were Chinese and visiting the US, I’d do the same. It is definitely not one-sided)
