Creaking noise when rolling to stop

To my understanding, HOLD applies the electric brakes upon a stop.

Making noise as they release also makes me think it could be sticking disks, which EVs are notorious for because most of us drive fully in regen and rarely apply the friction brakes, which in turn get dirty/rusty.

Try coming to a stop with vigorous use of the brake pedal a few times to clean the disks of rust. It might go away if so; easy fix to try.

But I agree it is worth keeping an eye out for the loose half-shaft recall issue. Be safe!
You also get sticky calipers (pistons) from not using the brakes periodically

Unless you like doing a brake job due to corrosion

I had the same problem. Initially, they told me they would replace the drive unit. However, in the end, all they had to do was retighten the half-shaft nut to torque spec. My car sat at the Atlanta service center for 2 months to do this, but that is another story.

My car is in service already for almost 3 weeks because of that and they haven't even started to work on it (San Jose, CA center). I am not surprised and don't expect it to be repaired any time soon.

So I have my 2025 AT back from service, took about 3 weeks in San Jose, CA. They ended up not replacing the front drive unit did but just replaced some nuts (Technician removed old LH & RH axle shaft nuts 32mm and replaced NEW axle shaft nuts LH & RH 32mm and tightened spec. 220 N-m. performed test drove, creaking noise are gone). I also had a tear on the left bolster of the driver seat and the easy entry option was not working. So they replaced the whole driver seat assembly. Additionally, the cruise control was engaging only intermittently, they checked it and apparently the cruise control button was malfunctioning, and they replaced the whole steering wheel. Finally, they replaced the wiper blade inserts because the left wiper was leaving streaks on the windshield. Overall, a little long but not too bad and the issues seem to have resolved. They also updated the software to 2.11.0.
