Lucid Air Pure, Maserati
I just got my Lucid Air and went to update my Con Edison Smart Charge Rewards program from my Tesla to this car only to find out that Lucid is not supported by the program! And neither is my old Tesla wall charger. So now my energy is 50% more expensive ($.30/kwh vs $.20/KWH). I'm pretty unhappy about this. If you are in the NY Con Edison utility, or Orange and Rockland utility, the program rebates you $.10/kwh for charging from midnight to 8 AM and gives you bonuses fro not charging during summer daytime hours, etc. It can save you hundreds a year. Please everyone complain to Lucid and have them get their car registered in the program ASAP.

Sounds like you need to complain to Con Edison, not Lucid.

That's strange that it's vehicle specific. The SDGE program is just hourly based, doesn't matter what car you're charging or what appliance you're running. After midnight, the price drops significantly to use electricity.

Its a sub program run by an outside firm. They need software input from Lucid to be allowed to read the charging data.

Sounds almost like our inability to get a clean pass in NY for the HOV lanes, despite almost all other EVs qualifying despite their lower efficiency.

Ahh. That's a big ask. To divert development time on a small team for a random program that only effects one small region of the country? Seems like a poorly thought-out program by this third party.

Still, doesn't hurt to bug Lucid about it. I just wouldn't hold my breath on them getting it done quickly.

I think they simply need to open their API. Nearly every other car company is on the list.

There’s nothing simple about opening an API.

Followup: So I 've had a few more conversations with them. This is an integration that Smart Charge needs to do on their end. No current timeline. We all need to request this from them so they will prioritize it. Right now if you use a level 2 charger that's on their list, they can view your charging that way and credit you. Unfortunatley I already haev a tesla wall cahrge that works fine so I have no motivation to do this. The math is upside down. Maybe 3,000 KWh/yr charging at a rebate of $.10/KWh only gives $300/year so why buy a $500 or more charger, then pay to install it when in all likelihood they will have it integrated within the year. Worth keeping in mind if you are in teh progra area and looking to install a charger. Check on their list first.

I have a Juicebox Enel charger which will not be off support. With my Model 3, Smart Charge NY worked great here in Rockland. But my Lucid did not report info in (near) real-time, so SCNY had get data dumps from Enel.

Now that Enel is leaving the USA, I AM MISSING MANY MOMTHS OF CRDITS.

Does anyone have an EV charger brand that is working with SCNY and Lucid?.

Also note note that SCNY does not list Lucid as supported!

Clean pass supports lucid in ny. I have my stickers

Yes, after 4 attempts and 3 rejections because the Lucid was not on their approved list, I finally got mine too. The Lucid had not been on the approved list and applications were rejected. I’d spoken to a couple of Lucid owners at charging stations and they too voiced their frustrations after being rejected. They had not tried to resubmit their application, but hearing my story they said they’d try again.

After reading your post, I took another look at the NY clean pass website and I still don’t see Lucid listed. The link below is also for drive clean rebates, but it’s also the list referred to for clean pass stickers. If you have some other website I’m missing can you post it here? Here’s what I saw today:

The problem lies with NYSERDA who provides the list to DMV.

Yup, I’m sure many Lucid owners are still getting rejected because technically it’s still not on the approved list. The service manager at Lucid Plainview also told me hers was rejected. The original explanation that I was given was that if the company didn’t have a sales location within the state, it couldn’t receive approval. If you look at the list, far newer cars like the BMW i5 already appear on the approved list. Lucid, not so much.

I got my clean pass sticker for my lucid air.

from NYS DMV:
"We apologize that we cannot issue Clean Pass Stickers for your vehicle. Effective February 1, 2022, new Clean Pass vehicle stickers for single-occupant HOV lane access on the Long Island Expressway in Nassau and Suffolk counties shall only be issued to owners of Plug-In Electric and Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicles."

I don't understand.

Try reapplying until it clears?

And this is precisely what I’ve been trying to convey to others. The Lucid is, for what ever reason, not on their BEV list. I had written them explaining it is the most efficient BEV and should absolutely be on the list, but it falls on deaf ears. The bottom line is that whoever fulfills these requests simply sees the name Lucid, checks that against their approved list, doesn’t see it there, and submits a denial.

As I’ve said several times, I kept resubmitting the request and either wore them down or a mistake was made and the stickers were sent. It’s typical NYS BS and incompetence. Be persistent and keep resubmitting until they send them.
