Sorry, I don’t think it’s imminent. Unless your definition of imminent is Q2 or later in 2026. Would love to be wrong. But Lucid’s got a lot of other items for Gravity that I think are priority.

And it also shows up in the Dashboard on lucidmotors.com though when you click through it's an Air-related document as opposed to a Gravity-related document. Not sure how long that's been like that, as I just took delivery in December.

That been up there for a long time too. I think it’s just a placeholder. It was there in August when I took delivery I believe.

November 27th technically.

I didn't remember seeing it there last time I looked so I checked for changes in the archive.org snapshots.
 
Wasn't CarPlay on Gravity in some sort of final certification stage and for quite some time already?

How would anyone no that except Lucid? I don’t think CarPlay is coming soon. Put differently, if CarPlay is absolutely a need for someone in order to drive a Gravity, I would just wait to buy.

When some folks still have infotainment display issues, or screen response bugs, I don’t think CarPlay is imminent. That said, once could argue having CarPlay could alleviate some of the other infotainment issues.

Either way, I go back to what I said previously. I expect 2H 2026 for new features. Under promise, over perform.

I think the ongoing absence of CarPlay is a big issue! I was unambiguously told it would be included in Gravity ( just as it is Air) by my salesperson when I placed my order. Only when my car showed up did I realize CarPlay would be “added later “.
You make an excellent point Ron, CarPlay ( thence Google Maps) would alleviate the frustration of trying to deal with the inadequate HERE map installation Gravity uses!
Frankly CarPlay has been standard in many “cheap “ cars for about a decade , why isn’t it considered high priority for Gravity? I don’t accept that there are “other more pressing issues”, for this standard of SUV, at this price point ! put a dedicated software team on each issue to be managed
I love my Gravity, performance, style comfort etc, but…………..

Caveat emptor. Believe nothing the SA tells you and be willing to accept all the features currently on car “as is”. Will it improve? Yes. Does the SA know anything other than what’s public? Experience in the forum says “no” and, in fact, they often know less than owners.

I think the actual implementation of CarPlay into a software defined vehicle is much harder than putting it in an old school ice car that has little/no software interactions. It will come. And yes, theoretically it could mitigate other infotainment issues, but only if the integration works properly and I don’t think Lucid is there yet with Gravity software and integrations. They will be.
 
Will CarPlay be implemented on Right Clearview Cockpit or Pilot Panel or both?
 
I guess we will find out. I am okay with either honestly.

My gut feeling is that it will be on the clearview cockpit screen as the pilot panel is used for a bunch of other features
 
Clearview cockpit, right side is where it is on Air and I fully expect it to be there for Gravity. As @arunim said, Pilot panel does too many other things.

I wouldn’t expect it to”soon” though…
 
Also, Apple has strict requirement on where and how CarPlay can be placed in the car! That’s why the strange position and size of the CarPlay window in the Air
 
While Lucid figures out CarPlay and Apple Music, I've subscribed to Spotify for a more seamless music experience.
