Anyone know of bidirectional charging status?

Actually, the truth is Lucid did say the Air would have this way back in 2021. I would love it during our occasional fire-protection blackouts since my solar is not battery compatible.
This was one of the key reasons I decided to buy the Lucid instead of the Taycan. I haven't regretted my purchase decision even once but I'm still anxiously awaiting V2H that was promised in early 2021. Should be here any minute!!

Apparently, AC-coupled V2H and V2G have been held up for years for everyone (Lucid, Enphase, etc) due to regulations / specification negotiations with utilities. It's complex - when and why is a grid-connected battery allowed to export power? How much power, and who controls that? How do you prevent exporting power to a downed grid? Communications and protocols for ensuring this works safely, and more.

Enphase's IQ2 V2X EVSE has been shipping to the EU for some time but has been waiting on this in the USA.

Those are all valid questions but aren't they all rendered moot/solved if you are hooking in to a pre-existing solar system?

Its hard to imagine someone running battery alone to grid but I can see scenarios to take advantage of a low night time rate to sell back at peak hours. But most net metering agreements now (at least in California) really favor the utility company when it comes to selling "excess" electricity.

So would the solution be to regulate the installation of these bidirectional systems just like a solar installation - need permitting, inspections, and a contract with the utility company? None of this is insurmountable.

My opinion is that everyone is delaying because they want a reasonable assurance of a standard in place before moving forward (eg the CCS/NACS fiasco). The other reason is that the utilities are trying to make renewable energy profitable for them instead of the producer (eg NEM 3.0).

I am frustrated that Lucid hasn't done a simple V2L, because this should be simple, given that rangeXchange hardware is just a specialized version of this general V2L case. Having V2L would provide a small sense of security for lots of lucid owners, and is probably quite easy to implement. V2G or V2H are considerably harder for reasons that @DeaneG and others have cited.

Please, Lucid, a simple V2L plugged into charger port would be nice for the Air.
 
Here is the simple Hyundi V2L converer available for several years. That's all I need. Why is Lucid do slow on this??

I'm no expert. Here's what I know/think/guess:

Tesla offers V2L on some new Model Ys (Performance only?) with its mobile chargers now, but only to 110 volts IIRC.

Gravity with the Power or Technology package has three 15amp, 110 volt outlets in the vehicle. IIRC, you can pull 1800 watts from each simultaneously.

The Ford V2H does output 220 volts. Here's State Of Charge's video on it:

• Three components: Inverter, Transfer Switch, and a "Dark Start" Battery, plus the special Ford Charger
• It's complicated, here's the flow:

• The Ford setup with the F-150 is limited to 9kW of power
• The add-on cost is (was because no F-150s anymore?) about $5k add-on cost, including the charger
• Installation could be another $3.5k-$4k (or more), depending on your home's electrical configuration and distances involved.
• Lucid's RangeXCharge adapter can charge other EVs at 9kW, too

If I was trying to do something on the cheap, the F-150's 220 volt outlet would look more appealing to me. Tom installed it because for him it's a tax deduction for his YouTube business.
 
Lucid becomes a bigger and bigger JOKE every day that they delay fulfilling promises made 4 years ago, especially when low tier auto makers have passed them by in so many areas.
No wonder my Lucid stock is almost worthless compared to when I bought it...
