I only recently moved to 2.6,0 and haven't re-rested yet, but with 2.5.x and earlier, if my music was paused (Tidal, typically), then altering the volume also had the effect of unpausing the music...which is fine. Unfortunately, this also happened if I was on the phone, or listening to a text message....if I touched the volume to alter the playback volume of the phone or text, the music would start playing, with the volume knob still being tied to the SMS/phone playback volume, leading to confusion and frustration. The obvious solution is to pause the music, of course, but it feels much less obvious at the time since I hadn't consciously unpaused from the outset.

Anyone know if this has been resolved? I don't recall seeing it in the release notes.

No idea but will add the the multiple audio sources aren't all reconciled. For example, there's confusion between the nav audio and music (I think nav audio stopped prematurely when I did something to the music) and also when I took a call, my SXM source would not play audibly after the call was complete, had to reboot to get it audible again. So, it's clear that some more work in audio processing from multiple sources is needed as of 2.6.0. Fingers crossed!

Interesting… I have not run into that problem since…. 2.4 update timeline…
Think my phone (android. Google Pixel Pro 8) also had a big firmware update around that time.
Wouldn’t hurt to try performing the Air-logo reset.
