Air Version 2.8.30

Zero changes I have noticed since installing over the weekend. I was really hoping they would make progress on the iPhone key and geofence it so the car doesn't go crazy unlocking and locking in my garage, but nope. Must have been some other bugs which I had not noticed.
 
I got mine two days ago and maybe my eyesight has gotten better, but it looks like my driver's display has more vibrant colors and is higher resolution. Probably placebo of some sort. But the green of the blinker icons and headlight icons seems to look much nicer than before. Maybe they just turned up the contrast or something

I haven't either. No doubt they fixed some bugs and improved some stuff. I don't think these changes will be apparent to every owner.

2.8.17 to 2.8.30. There have been 13 different versions of this to get to the production software. A lot of work has gone into this. It may not be new features, but it should address a fair number of bugs.

I hope they address the newly introduced bug that came with 2.8.30. Every time I get into the car I get this goofy travel info on the cockpit panel. It's persistent. I'll try a logo reset and report back.

Do you have navigation running on your phone or in the car?
 
I have been having mobile key issues, and was just informed by service they don't have a way to test mobile key issues. My issue will continue to remain unsolved, and they are sending the car back.

Does restoring seat position work for you all after this update? Not sure if its coincidence or not but my seat will no longer restore to saved settings. If I press the “restore” button it moves for half a second then stops, I need to press it multiple times for it to move to the desired position. Not sure if this is a software or hardware issue.

In Smooth/Standard regen, you still can one pedal drive if you plan out your slowing well in advance. In Swift or Sprint, you'll have to use the friction brakes.
The car feels noticeably quicker in reaction to the throttle pedal now too.

Agree.....standard setting for regen in Swift and Sprint modes is very noticeably less intense than it was before this latest update. I like this change.
 
I have noticed zero changes. Same unnecessary warnings persist.

Just came out of a Taycan into Air Touring two weeks ago....great decision, loving the car! Been a Porsche guy for years....911s, Panamera, but Taycan is underwhelming. Lucid wins on range, charging, regen braking and overall performance/fun hands down for me! Not to mention comfort and luxury feel! Maybe getting older also has something to do with it :).

Taycan was on my short list for sure.
 
Here's some insight as a software engineer of 30 years who have seen and written more than my share of release notes. This is a 0.0.x release. It's super minor maybe as minor as simple typos and one single solitary notification for a specific user case. They probably wasn't even going to release it but decided for whatever reason like consolidating the number of update branches just for simplicity. The one and only thing that I don't like are the release notes as they are non existent on the customer side. That tells me their engineers are probably mostly overseas with terrible English that would be very evident in release notes and embarrassing and lucid is probably too small to have a dedicated release manager state side. Such is the state of software engineering even in silicon Valley.

30 years writing release notes and this is the grammar you went with?

“wasn’t even going to release it but decided for whatever reason like…”. Did you just give up on that sentence halfway through?

And somehow we went from “notes are light” to “must be overseas engineers with terrible English.” That’s not insight, that’s lazy stereotyping!

Maybe you should proofread your own post before auditing an entire company’s.
 
I just drove 800 miles after downloading.the update and I received more warnings that the Air could not see my face than I have before. It was super annoying to have DDPro drop Hands free assist while I was sitting upright in my seat watching the road. I had an unobstructed view of the site of the detector. More work to do, team!

Does anyone else experience the car slowing at freeway entrances or in the shadow of a bridge with the message, “slowing for curve ahead” when there is no curve?
