Unfortunately, true.
The way I like to think of it is that a single boot up of the car involves the precise timing of more than 70 computers that all have to be ready in precisely the correct order. Any one of those takes an extra few milliseconds, and you get gremlins. Sometimes those gremlins show their face right away. Sometimes a few weeks later. But until then, the car has “woken up on the wrong side of the bed” and nothing will fix that except another reboot, which may or may not result in some other computer not waking up at precisely the correct time, and on and on.
For some cars, like mine, the boot up happens flawlessly most of the time. For others, not so lucky.
Like I’ve said many times, I do not envy this software team.
