2.8.0 Software Update

While I know it’s a far cry from the realm of work I dabbled in (Special Operations units deployed in combat zones), the fact of the matter is words mean things. If I were to send up a SITREP (situational report) to a higher echelon of command they are expecting my communication to be accurate, not a best guess of the situation at hand.

Granted, unexpected turn of events do take place but could be communicated in a timely manner (ie social media post) to feed the hunger from the loyal Lucid customers we all are. In any sense, 2.8 is now rolling out so all I well that ends well. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

I’d argue that the XM7 was announced in 2022 with replacement starting in early 2023…. Fielding didn’t begin until late 2024 to small units. Still isn’t fully fielded.

Also, Lucid is not bound by anything (other than an obligation to shareholders) to report info to us. Like the duty exists to report accurate information from ground-sourced human intelligence from an operational Army detachment/unit.

This is great. So I guess they removed the the frunk strut adjustment from the update. It’s the only thing I was looking forward to.

I have DD Premium, so my update is only 1:20 and I’m about to install it. But the notes don’t mention the power frunk portion, yet I have that. I can’t say I had any issues with my frunk, but curious if that release note was/is present for others. Thanks.

To all the people that went haywire in this thread over a few days, you need to dial it back. Get a hobby. Calm down. I know they said the 30th, today is the 4th. They missed it by three business days. Have you ever missed a deadline in your life? Of course. Let’s give Lucid a break, I know for sure that they are trying very hard to please us all.

Calling others in this discussion is not warranted. No one asked for update on day one. Everyone are curious to know why its was delayed and what happened since it was a public announcement rather than a normal OTA.

Like I said earlier, lots of assumptions in this thread...
