I have few more days before I get home. Reading all these comments makes me excited. I may just hold off remote OTA update and experience this myself hearing the dishwasher fan sound.

Yea, mine is at the service center to address delivery issues and I received the notification to update on the app. I’ll have to resist the urge, but will be sure the SC applies the update before I pick it up !

The fans were LOUD... I was in the room next to my garage when I heard it and I was legit concerned to the point where I went to get my phone to record it in case I needed to get the car serviced. It ended before I could get a video though.

I wonder if there is some stress test diagnostic packing with this OTA update. Whatever it is, I’ve heard crazy loud fan sound at EA stations which made me rather charge at home more than at EA stations.

That is correct. Above 15 mph the camera views disappear. You can watch yourself drive from behind - up until 15 mph.

Semi-random question. The usability issues with Homelink and the backup camera have been discussed at length before, just wanted to see if there is an easy way to turn the backup camera back on manually. That is, this is the process for backing out of my garage:

1. Tap the Homelink button to bring up garage door options, tap one to open the garage door.
2. Put car in reverse, cameras come on, back out into the driveway.
3. At this point, though, I need to *close* the garage door, so I have to turn off the backup camera to access the Homelink options.
4. Now I have to continue backing up into the street, and there is no backup camera anymore.

Of course I can put the car in park and then put it back into reverse, but that's pretty annoying so I don't bother, I just use the 360 cam overhead view if I need it. Just wanted to see if there is a button somewhere I can tap to turn the backup cam back on after turning it off to close the garage door.

I think Lucid did a pretty fantastic job on the combination and integration of touch screen buttons with physical controls. The glaring exception to me is Homelink, which should *definitely* be a couple physical buttons. My old Chevy Volt has 3 programmable buttons in the ceiling and they're better in every way (not to mention with Lucid I need to reprogram Homelink for every profile, which is nuts).

Tap the parking cone icon. Lower right corner of pilot panel. You have to close the 360 camera and tap the icon and it brings both up.

This process will be improved in time. I’m sure of it. It just take Lucid some time to sort things out. Lucid is premier in drivetrain technology; however, their software is far from par to their hardware imo, but it is steadily improving, and definitely way stronger than VW, Audi & Porsche. Rivian uses the same method, except that HomeLink menu is still visible above camera video screen when backing out. Lucid will have similar solution I assume.

Can't wait for this update! Especially looking forward to scheduled charging (my off peak rate starts at 11.00 pm ) and the enhanced range calculation.

Hopefully I can start sleeping better after this update

any details on exactly what 'enhanced range calculation' means? does it mean that the projected range is more accurate now and based on our mi/kw instead of whatever the heck it thinks we're getting on efficiency? lol

No kidding, the fans were loud. I called CS to report it and they indicated this has been reported but had no explanation.

My Porsche fans would go nuts whenever I would flash a tune to the DME. There tuner always warned me to make sure the battery was fully charged or on a tender.

Maybe a module(s) responsible for controlling the fans received a firmware update and during the update the fans ramped to full speed.

I got the .52 update this morning but cannot play music from a USB stick. I reformatted the stick to FAT32 and then copied a single MP3 file onto it. It plays on my computer but not in my car. Anyone else having issues? Not a big deal to me but just thought I’d ask.

Ditto .. I grabbed my phone, but apparently I spoke the whole time, so all you hear is ".. man that is loud.. are those fans? .. what is that swishing sound? .. etc. etc." .. but, at least the video is focused on the "Software Update in Progress" message on the dash .. so I got that

I can play about one song before the stick starts another lengthy reload. I'm going to try to put fewer albums on a new stick, per advice on this thread, to see what happens.

I, for one, do want the ability to play audio from USB so I appreciate Lucid listening to the customers.
My update is on-going.
Happened to be in the garage at 50%. Fans came on full blast for a bit, then went off.
At 64%, they came on again and are still going.
Not a soft or hard-ware specialist, but I'm just totally amazed at the magnitude and the complexity of OTA updates.
What a momentous task for only thousands of customers, as opposed to the zillions of Microsoft or Apple!
Kudos to Lucid's software team, the unsung heroes, most of whom will never be known to the public.

My fans did the same thing. I thought it strange and cannot imagine why that would be needed, but so be it!
