    Replace entire HV battery?

I understand that’s the choice they’ve made, and IMO it’s a mistake. They’re creating a cadre of extremely unhappy new owners. Because of cash flow? We’re the people who after six weeks of ownership would be evangelizing Lucid (as you are).

    Replace entire HV battery?

So far this is much worse than anything I experienced (or heard of others experiencing) with Teslas. I owned them for eight years. I think it’s fair to say that Lucid should be better prepared to take care of customers who experience a total failure of their new car. They should have batteries...

    Replace entire HV battery?

No loaners now, so I have a crap rental. It’s been a week so far and …

    Replace entire HV battery?

Has anyone had their entire HV battery + WunderBox replaced? What was your experience? How long did it take? Apparently this is about to happen to me. They’re not yet sure—though they’ve now had the car for a full week. Not what I bargained for when I bought the car, to put it mildly.

    Total shutdown. No roadside assistance.

"Shit happens" is probably terrific life advice, useful in many circumstances. I'm not sure it's a useful response in this context, to be honest. I'd be interested in knowing whether the Battery Fault and Drive Fault are known problems; what might trigger them; whether, at this moment, my car is...

    Total shutdown. No roadside assistance.

I’ve had my Lucid Air for six weeks, and I’ve been extremely happy. Until now. While driving, I got an alarm and a warning that said “Battery Fault” and started a five-minute countdown. After five minutes, the warning changed to Drive Fault. I was on the side of the road, stuck. After a few...

    Information from Lucid

It seems to me there’s a difference between asking for a schedule and asking for the current release. Surely the current release ought to be public information, readily available. With smart phones (etc.) you can easily find the current release. You can ask whether there’s a software upgrade...

    Information from Lucid

I see the current software version in the car. When I was on 1.2.13, that’s what I saw. But the rest of the world was on 1.2.21. How would I know that?

    Information from Lucid

Does Lucid show the current released software version anywhere (website, car, app)? I can’t find it. I gather from this forum that it’s 1.2.21 (soon to be something starting with 2), but it seems like information that should be available from the horse’s mouth. (If I could trust the car always...

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

Double-edged sword. Imagine an antagonist with your password.

    Update oddities

Sometimes it’s Wi-Fi with four bars, but more usually it’s LTE only, with only two or three. In that case does the software not update? I’ve been successfully updated through 1.2.21 now, when away from Wi-Fi, but I had to request each update individually through customer service.

What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

Shouldn’t the app show the vehicle’s current software version? Or is it there and I just can’t find it.

    Update oddities

Having received my vehicle three weeks ago, I began to wonder why I had never gotten a notification about a software update. I was on version 1.2.17, which means I hadn’t got 1.2.185, 1.2.19, 1.2.20, and 1.2.21. (I know this because a customer service representative told me. Is there another way...

Can the car remember navigation preferences?

Does Lucid take requests anywhere? Do they monitor these forums? Is there a master list?

Can the car remember navigation preferences?

I’m new, so forgive me if this has been discussed. I always mute the navigation, and I don’t know if there’s a way to make the car leave the voice off for good. Likewise, I prefer 2D display to 3D display and would rather not have to reset that each time I drive. Are such preferences saved...

    RESOLVED Is motor whine normal?

Brand new owner here. I hear a noticeable howl or whine, rising and falling in pitch as the motor spins up or down. It’s not very loud, but I wonder if it’s normal or an indication of a problem. I never heard anything like it in my Tesla Model S. Am I alone?
