Goodwood Festival of Speed

Here’s the results file - easiest to search ‘Lucid’
Ok thank you very much. I didn't see the definitions for the various classes but I'm assuming the "K" class is for production cars with stock tires, suspension etc. There do appear to be other "Production" cars (Dodge Viper for example) but in other classes perhaps due to tires, suspension mods or ???

Also, although the lucid was the fastest of all production cars this year, I read somewhere that it wasn’t the fastest production car of all time. Wonder where it ranks on the all time list and which cars have been faster?

Interesting event.

Mercedes. Porsche. Ford. Rivian. Polestar. Lucid.

But no Teslas in sight this year after participating in prior years.

Based on our experience driving our Model S Plaid and our Lucid Air Dream Edition, my guess is that Tesla knew better than to put a car with a subpar suspension and that ridiculous yoke onto that tight hill course against the likes of the Lucid.

Maybe it's just me, but it feels like Goodwood has given Lucid much more clout than the Motortrend award.

Maybe cuz it’s opening it up to the European audience which I feel tend to be more impressed about vehicle achievements and less of a Karen about things like carpets or buttons 😜

Isn't there a Karen on this board complaining about cheap carpets and buttons::D:D

I don't believe it should have got car of the year with all the software issues. If the argument is literally about its driving performance then Motortrend needs to get with the times and review the car as a whole given how pivotal a role software plays in cars these days. They rewarded Lucid for poor behavior because at the time that award was announced the car didn't even have ACC.

Love my AGT but yeah, shouldn't have gotten COTY so early in

No, you’re right, without ACC I hate driving my car. Too much work. Lol

(I don’t think software should define the car of the year. The car should.)

Another video released today from the event

Man, I really hope someday we get to see the full footage from the driver POV. The short clips they showed is amazing

Lucid was absent at this year's 2023 Goodwood Festival. Would've been a good time to show off the Sapphire or debut the Gravity.

August 7 is coming soon, they need some good news coming out before then

I was wondering if they were not present. The Sapphire or Gravity were my hopes as well. No news or press coverage for either vehicle.

Probably for the better, almost every single high performance car is crashing at goodwood. A f1 GTR, M1 pro, 911 gt1.. and the list goes on and on. I'm starting to believe that goodwood this year is cursed.

Probably a good play to skip this year, wet conditions and a lot of crashes
They have the recent video for the Sapphire prototype walking an SF90, which covers the point
