Gravity Delivery Discussion

No updates on either orders.

6/17/25 - GGT, AG, Tahoe, 20/ 21, Stealth, DDP, Dynamic Handling, Power, Comfort, Towing
If you drop Tech & Power, you may be in luck with a pending in production GGT

Tech and Power are likely holding you back. But Power will come soon, I think. It’s trickling, pun intended.

.

Also, at 5’8”, it’s a bit weird that I can hit my head on the trunk when it’s open, but whatever…love it.
You can set the height of the trunk opening. I'm 5'10" and I have a bit of room overhead. Unless it's in the lowest ride height setting, in which case I do have to duck.

Obviously, that was the original order date, it was upgraded to Dream Edition when that version was announced.

Then I think you meant you first ordered a GGT in January 2025, not 2024 as in your original post. Grand Touring orders didn't open until November 7, 2024.

I wasn't sure if you first ordered an Air in 2024 and later decided to get a Gravity Dream or first ordered a Gravity GT in January, putting you pretty far back in the early production queue, at least to the extent Lucid paid attention to such a factor.

Yeah, it’s in lowest ride when I park, so that’s the “issue”. But that’s not a big deal.

It's clear that Lucid is in deep doo-doo with Gravity production, probably for a range of causes that are not all Lucid's fault.

But as someone who received a Gravity DE on June 30 and is also waiting on a second Gravity DE that is apparently stalled in entering production, I can only say that Lucid absolutely must hold off deliveries until these problems are worked through. If they press ahead with deliveries, the service network -- which was the saving grace during the early Air production issues -- will collapse.

Wait times for service have already gotten longer with the start of Gravity deliveries, and we are in queue to get some replacements parts with Lucid having no idea of when they will become available.

While I absolutely love driving our new Gravity in most circumstances, I also absolutely do not want another car in the garage with the same growing list of service ticket items to be fixed and mobile service / service center visits to be fitted into my schedule.

Lucid service people have been uniformly great for the past three and half years. But I don't want to see them once a week any more than they want to see me that often.
Agreed. I fully understand with one of the first GGT’s in my area, I am a beta tester. I can understand software related issues and will be patient for that. But for stuff that has to go into the service center to fix, on a brand new 100k plus car is a little ridiculous. I’ve had multiple 100k plus cars and have not had to bring into the service center within the first week of ownership.
The wind noise is definitely not “fixing itself” as I was told it would so after a relatively short wait for the car (sorry folks, only waited 3 months from deposit to delivery), I have to now give it back to the service center to check the seals and maybe realign the window? My Rivian R1T had wind noise issues and that completely replaced the panel on the roof.
Right - it’s about the tech package, but that (I thought) was having colors change not no lights at all. A few folks with GGTs have said they DO have ambient lighting there and the GGT in the Tysons studio has it as well. I think there’s some sort of bug, but idk. I don’t have tech package and only have a light on the windshield spine thing. While it’s not supposed to be “dynamic” without the tech package, I think those lights should still be there and work, perhaps just not all the colors? I don’t particularly care, but would be nice to know for sure. Kind of a dumb thing to make someone pay more for, but, whatever..I still love the car.

If you have a GGT non tech and you see more ambient lighting, let us know please…
I went back in my emails from my SA and can also confirm non tech package will have pretty much no lights. Nothing on doors, just footwell lighting.

If delivery times become unreasonable can one get their $1,000 back since they say it is refundable? The terms and conditions seems more like a contract where you can't get the deposit back and you can't make changes because the order has gone to the factory. What's the real situation?

I really don’t care about the lighting…Lucid does a crappy job explaining the options, but ultimately, I don’t particularly care.

I would care deeply if I literally couldn’t drive my Gravity, but I can and I love the way it drives. Everything about it.

I don’t love the bugs, or the fact that my interior door trim is uneven, but it will work itself out.

I AM concerned that a broader set of consumers taking delivery of Gravity will exacerbate Lucid’s issues. I saw it with Tesla and Rivian. This is the exact reason I chose to lease this time. If their service levels decline or they don’t get everything right ultimately, they can have the car back. If it’s all good, I will buy the newer version of a loaded Gravity in three years.

I don't remember how, but we've ended up with three speed forms. Now a fourth one is apparently on the way. They're nice enough, but I'd still rather have a HUD unit that doesn't send ghosts dancing across our windshield or a navigation system that is not permanently frozen in California.

I kinda feel like a dog being tossed treats in the hope that I'll quit barking.

I would gladly take one of those off your hands sometime; we never were in a position to get one. I'll let you know if we visit parents in Naples in the winter... likely driving the Gravity down.

DM me and I will send you one of ours…

I’m scheduled to take delivery of my black/tahoe/20/21 GDE Saturday 8/16 in HOU!
They pushed out my delivery by a week to 8/23 😭 But I guess in the range of status+frustration in the forum I shouldn't complain about still getting mine in August.

Oh, feel free to complain I think it was far worse waiting when I had a delivery date and feeling like it was soooo close than when I had no idea. I couldn’t sleep and was terrified they’d postpone it. Yes, I am being a bit dramatic, but that’s basically how it was.
