Damn. Even in the early days (2014), Tesla had their trade-in program. How did people take advantage of the tax credit then?Lucid is the one brand they do not yet take on trade. Go figure.

Yeah, I was referring to the local sales tax credit. My trade-in saved me at least $4,500 here in Florida. I’m just amazed that Lucid didn’t have such a program until recently. If you mean the federal EV tax credit, it did not affect it. I traded an Audi R8 on our first Tesla and got the full tax credit.
If you mean the state sales tax credit (for those states that have it), it requires a trade-in to get that credit.

Good to know. I hate having to sell cars on my own (the hassle, time, etc), so I usually trade mine in (it's worth the haircut you take on the value, IMHO, to not have to waste time selling one privately).I traded in my Cybertruck, so at least they are taking Tesla for sure.
What was your config, what did you trade in, miles? Kind of give us a clue where trade in values lie.Okay, update: I received a Porforma Invoice today and was also provided with the pick-up location. I guess that’s progress.
They're giving you $76k for a Cybertruck? That's wild!Okay, update: I received a Porforma Invoice today and was also provided with the pick-up location. I guess that’s progress.
Run the KBB “instant cash offer”. That’s what they’re using, unless you’re trading in a Lucid (and then it’s internal). Mine was within a few hundred bucks. What was your config, what did you trade in, miles? Kind of give us a clue where trade in values lie.
DE’s configuration is Aurora Green Metallic, Tahoe Leather Interior, 22" Front / 23" Rear Aether Stealth Wheels. What was your config, what did you trade in, miles? Kind of give us a clue where trade in values lie.
Yeah, pretty low, but at least it saves me $4,500 in sales tax, so I’m ok with it.They're giving you $76k for a Cybertruck? That's wild!
I actually meant it the other way around -- I thought CTs were going for fire sale prices, so I'm impressed they paid that much.Yeah, pretty low, but at least it saves me $4,500 in sales tax, so I’m ok with it.
KBB used to offer me $80K two months ago, lol. The MSRP I paid is $120K. So yeah, it's still a hit in my book after only 5,000 miles.I actually meant it the other way around -- I thought CTs were going for fire sale prices, so I'm impressed they paid that much.
Either they have already produced mine, which I hope is the case, or I will have to wait longer.White…next!
Fwiw, I'm still waiting on a delivery date for my DE too; part of the issue in my case is my SA was misreading the dates, because he was using 'Air' line knowledge and not 'Gravity' line knowledge, wherein the process is apparently somewhat different. (Hearsay, so take what I say here with a grain of salt and via the telephone game)Update: the wait continues…
I checked with my delivery specialist and ranted a bit when no one knew what was causing the delay or any potential ETA. It's not his fault, obviously, and I made sure he converted the message to the management. Hopefully, we can get some insights later this week.
Lucid is still relatively new, so I’m not bashing their heads against the wall. I wish they could communicate better, especially when they talk about poaching customers from competitive brands. I don’t want to bring Tesla into the mix, but at least they give you a pretty accurate delivery window when you order.
I believe I have one of two Gravity DE's delivered first. My sill number is 003 and I believe the poster here was with me at the showroom and took delivery simultaneously on Tuesday May 6th. The sales team told me he and I are the first public (not friends and family) to receive a Lucid Gravity. I can tell you it is amazing and attracts a LOT of attention. 414 miles on it so far and it is a perfect addition to my EV garage. I love my Plaid or my P100 D for straight line performance and my Rivian R1T for serious off roading and transportation of work items but my Gravity will be my highway cruiser and my daily driver.@Osyris posted this morning on the forum that he's getting Gravity Dream No. 1 in Arizona by the end of the month, with the delivery being filmed with Winterhoff in attendance:
Pretty exciting news! I got a call from the manager at the Scottsdale showroom on Thursday night. He asked if I would be interested in taking delivery of the first Dream Edition, with the caveat that the CEO would be attending, there would be a ribbon cutting ceremony, and it will be filmed. They want to do it before the end of the month!
I wanted the smaller tires for the added range so they are changing those away from the 21”/22” that come “standard”, but I’m due to take delivery on 4/30/25.
I can’t wait! I’m leasing it to take advantage of the $7500 credit. I’ll post pics once I take...

So it seems the real show is finally about to begin.
Congratulations on getting your GDE imminently! . . . and I'm looking forward to hearing as much about your delivery and first drive experience as you're able to share.
Wow! Welcome to the forum! Unless I missed anything else sounds like we have a 2nd (not necessarily in order, but a numerical value) Dream Edition owner!! Please do let us know your thoughts on various details- Noise levels in highway driving, smooth/softness of the ride, Software experience etc. Hopefully you have had a chance to read through the multiple posts about anxious queries from other DE reservation holders! Yeah, their internal communications are a mess right now. Back in late April, the factory told the delivery team that they would stop the DE production in two weeks. Apparently, that was not true, and it created a lot of false hype.Fwiw, I'm still waiting on a delivery date for my DE too; part of the issue in my case is my SA was misreading the dates, because he was using 'Air' line knowledge and not 'Gravity' line knowledge, wherein the process is apparently somewhat different. But I suspect that's at least part of the issue too. It's still definitely Lucid's problem, and definitely an internal communication issue, but I suspect that's at least some of what's happening.
