OTA Update 2.6.16

A random thought: perhaps the front motor whine sounds lower for some folks because they are sending less power to the front motor at low speeds, thus saving efficiency *and* the front motor would spin up as much, reducing sound?

I wonder - for those folks who claim the sound is reduced, is that *still* true in Sprint mode? I doubt they’d have made Sprint more “efficient”
I think that's right. Its quieter with less throttle as far as I can tell.

I was thinking the same way this morning, it makes sense, and I’m thinking it might be relevant to the slight reduction in regen braking I’m feeling, so the front motor being more efficient is not providing the pre-update regen braking, maybe, I don’t know, I haven’t seen anyone else reporting this, it might just be me

Anyone else having trouble shifting out of park after this update? I'm having to wait 20-40 seconds before the car will respond to any inputs to the shift lever now. Tried a logo reset but this is still happening around 50% of the time when I get into the car.

Yes ! Follow my post about the car not going to drive .. it’s started a day after the update and I mentioned that to service .
Very frustrating!

I also thought the regen braking seemed less after the update, but I went to check the energy I get back from regen prior and after the update in home assistant logs and it seems to have about the same peak energy recapture rate.

Its possible its starting off lower, but still peaks the same, but I can’t tell from the logs.

Yeah I mentioned this in the other thread. It happened once to me since the update but that’s it.

Happened to me once right after update but haven't seen it since.

That’s always been my assumption. I can think of no other reason to explain it.

Yeah. Commented in the other thread. Happened yesterday when I got in after charging overnight. Wouldn’t go in to Drive. Exited the car to let it sleep for 30 seconds. When I came back it was still awake but when I got back in the cockpit reset back to the Lucid logo and rebooted. After that it worked fine. Clearly the cockpit UI had crashed.

I'm having this issue occasionally after the update as well.
Sometimes it seems like the car is just "stuck" as I cannot shift into drive or reverse, use turn signals, etc... It will also sometimes think that my front door is open when it's not. It generally fixes itself after 15-20 seconds so it hasn't been awful, but definitely annoying.

It also tends to make really loud sharp static burst sounds from the speakers when this happens. This also goes away after about 10 seconds, but it is unaffected by the volume setting. I'm not sure if this is related to carplay or something.

I've tried the Air logo reset 3 or 4 times but this issue still crops up from time to time. I'll probably need to call the Lucid service center to see if they have any fix for this.

Took a little 200 mile drive from the CT coast up through the Berkshires in Mass yesterday. Was interested to see what kind of range I got after the improved efficiency in the last OTA update. Turns out I got over 4.6 kWh per mile. That was mostly on back roads with hilly terrain up in the Berkshires. .2 mile per kWh adds up.
