That is the first time I've seen him and that was my impression watching him as well. And I was really sad that Peter wasn't the man making that presentation.

I still remember posting about Rawlinson's demeanor the day the first Gravity rolled off the production line. He had the same grin on his face that Ralphie had when he got his BB gun in "A Christmas Story". The kind of unfeigned childlike excitement about great cars that Rawlinson evinced in almost all his public appearances is so incredibly rare among auto company CEO's these days, and their lack of it shows in their products just as Rawlinson's enthusiasm for cars and driving showed in his.

Yeah, and look at what his drive to be constantly in the spotlight is doing to Tesla now. I think Marc just isn't a front guy. His speech making abilities does not necessarily make him unenthusiastic about the car or company. I think he is hindered due to English not being native for him. All they really need is a good front man to sell the crap out of the car and a good ceo to handle the company. Of course, it is better to have both in one person.

I've seen David Buchko, Lucid's Product PR Manager, in a couple of videos. He's extremely articulate, clearly enthusiastic about the product, really focuses on the salient points, and covers a lot of useful ground quickly. Lucid would do well to consider using him more prominently.

That’s why his title is “Interim CEO.” Very often COO’s lack the kind of energetic / visionary spark required to be effective CEO’s. It’s a different headspace. I started out as a COO and it took me quite a bit of time to understand how to convey the passion and vision of our company before I was ready to move into a CEO role. Some folks never can make that jump, BUT they are great at keeping the trains running on time as COO’s…

Contrary to some beliefs this was never a PUMP event.

Q1 numbers are the tell. Let's see if conquest / TSLA defectors really made an impact on the deliveries as the media might suggest. Or if Tesla delivery numbers fall short. That's the big one to watch for.

Yes, i am waiting for some good news or info from Hyundai event or something about a big OEM update by end of this month from earnings call.
