I love my Air Touring. The ride is phenomenal, my range has been great and (thankfully) I haven't experienced any significant failures.

I'm one of the 18 month "Gravity Bridge" lessees. The Gravity being my dream vehicle, the lease seemed like a bargain so I jumped on it.

When deliveries were made in December and "The Finale" was posted on the "Road to Gravity" I was hopeful that we would, by now, start to see a ramp in deliveries or at least vehicles available for review by the usual YouTubers.

My lease ends in about 4 months and I've become increasingly concerned about the apparent delays. I know that Lucid will extend my lease but afaik that isn't without cost to me.

Am I missing something? Has there been more information from Lucid since the first production Gravity's were delivered at the end of 2024?

Nope, we're all being ghosted. I've reluctantly started looking at other options both because of the delay and concern over why it's being delayed...

Same here. Especially with the news on additional tariff to hit in April ( I don't think it is actually going to happen, but who knows). If the radio silence continues to the end of this month, I will start looking for alternatives seriously.

Since the Gravity is manufactured in the USA, it should not be subjected to a tariff.

Any components manufactured outside of the USA would be subject to whatever tariff the current administration decides upon (China, MX, CA, etc). But you are correct, the entire vehicle itself will not be subject to the current proposed 25% vehicle tariff.

Well, up to you of course. I have sat in a pre-production Gravity and its amazing. Worth the wait in my view.
Yes but I do have a timeline that I need to have new car by some time this year. Gravity may make it but the risk is rising every day. I need to make a decision some time.

I saw a Gravity prototype in person at a local Lucid Studio before I leased my Air but I have not had the pleasure of sitting in a Gravity yet.

Are production versions starting to appear in studios?

Hopefully we’ll learn more this week in conjunction with the earnings report.

One of the weirder things I’ve seen from a company as a consumer. My 18 month lease was marketed to me as a skip the line way (“highest priority”) to get into a Gravity. Turns out we’re the same priority as any current owner, though unclear what that actually is for anyone. I consider myself a fan of the brand and hence a relatively early adopter but frustrating to see all the apologists and talk like “well did you see what Tesla did in the beginning…”. Delays are normal and even expected, as is reasonable ambiguity for an earlier stage company. But poor / nonexistent communication with your (relatively small) existing base is below the bar no matter the stage or industry. And not following through on or communicating basic commitments made to acquire a bunch of customers into these bridge leases feels like misleading marketing at best and bait and switch at worse.

Delays are the norm, why would you expect everything to go according to plan? I'm sure Lucid is making sure the Gravity quality and software is perfect so not to repeat what happened with the Air. Would you rather they release something subpar and then hear about your complaints? I would rather people complain about delays rather than the actual quality of the product. If you were Lucid, what would you do? Just extend the lease and wait , if you can't wait, cancel your order.

As I wrote, delays are not the issue. That’s part of the underwrite when buying early. To your question: if I were Lucid, I would
- send out regular communication to reservation holders, not promising dates but given indications of progress, always with the bilateral understanding that there’s vol
- specifically communicate (and not ghost) 18 month bridge holders saying here’s what will happen (ie, your options) if Gravity is not ready within your lease term, and here’s what you can expect relative to previous communications. Even if things have changed (like the recent thing around EA going away for some that got it erroneously in the first place)
- look at sales incentives closely. Based on talking to my sales rep I think they’re incentivized on sales book rather than delivery book. It leads to a shitty experience where they’re super attentive until you get the order placed and then getting help is hard thereafter. Long term loyalty and lifetime value is built here

I’m bothering to write this here in case Lucid reads it and finds it helpful. I’m not one to cast stones at a brand, and in fact have been an advocate among my circle and made multiple referrals. Lucid doing and being better is good for all of us
