To deny that Lucid software as it is today doesn't have major issues is simply being willfully ignorant. To defend Lucid by saying, "well, it's better than it was" is accepting subpar development.

Yes, a small part of my decision to purchase the Lucid was based on AA being available by the end of December. Yes, updating the Iphone app prior to delivering on their promise for AA is a harsh slap in the face of Android users.

Yes, seeing my phone indicate that it sees AA out there but can't connect is exciting and frustrating in equal parts.

To be honest, fixing the damn passive locks so I don't have to stand in the rain waiting for the car to recognize I'm standing next to it is more important to me than AA right now.

In regards to the iPhone app update being released before AA: Yes, it sucks but that's not how software development works. It's not a sequential order of tasks where one thing can be worked on only after the first one is done. These tasks are likely in parallel and different teams are working on each section separately. It doesn't make sense to not release a completed feature if it's tested and working. Speaking from an engineering perspective.
 
It took 4 years to get Android Auto on the Polestar and it operates on Android Automotive! CarPlay was made available within the first year...
 
So, I survived a year without AA since I got the Air.

Maybe it's a Stockholm syndrome... but I think I got used to Lucid Navigation/routing and apps... to the point where AA now feels.. "ok to have" but not "must have".

I recently had a business trip to Vegas and received a rental (ICE) car + connected AA for the first time since summer 2024... I hated-hated-hated the AA google map UI and all that rectangular/cramped UI.... lol

At this point, I'd be happy and call it a day for another year if Lucid could just add LDAC support to Bluetooth for a bit higher quality music streaming from the phone + better USB music support.
