Favorite feature of my Lucid is...

the Telemetry Control Module.

Most car manufacturers don't put enough resources into their TCMs. Lucid bucks the trend and focuses exclusively on the TCM.

As long as they keep updating the TCM every month I'm fine with trailing on less important features.

I truly think that Lucid has the best TCM currently on the market.
Someone’s comment said that you were making a joke with this post but I’m not sure as not sure what the TCM is. Can you please elaborate 🥹

I like "Savage Geese" reviews but, as with so many reviews, they can make mountains out of mole hills in order to make points seem more, uh, pointed. In the video when they compared interior noise of the Air to the BMW, they used a sound meter to determine the Air interior was 4 decibels louder than the BMW. At least they were objective about it, but . . .

The minimum difference in volume that the human ear can perceive is around 3db, with volume increases not becoming clearly discernible for some people until around 5db. In other words, a 4db volume increase is right at the threshold of discernibility.

Also, noise levels in a car interior are partially dependent on the source and frequency of the noise. One car can be quieter than another on one type of surface but noisier than that same other car on a different type of surface.

So, basically, a 4db difference in sound level between any two cars on the same surface is meaningless in terms of concluding one car is more "luxurious" than the other or, for that matter, even meaningfully quieter than the other.
Thanks for pointing that out, that was my thoughts on their criticism also. Plus my SPL meter was 2dB quieter than their measurements so it’s really a fat nothing burger.

My favorite things:
1. Range - having owned a 220 mile range EV made me realize that range actually DOES matter as a bad charging curve combined with low range is torture, to the point where we traded the Volvo XC40 EV in for V60 Polestar plug in hybrid because my wife has no patience and requires more spontaneity than other EVs allow. The range and efficiency of the Lucid, and the fact that 3 years after release it STILL beats every other EV in that category is remarkable.
2. Space = better than any sedan on the market.
3. 360 camera + front camera + blind spot cameras. Better than any sedan on the market.
4. Dolby Atmos SSPro = better than any other car I’ve heard, with the caveat being Lucid has really dropped the ball on properly exhibiting that system in their studios and is still shipping cars with the rear deck lid woofer rattling and the bass port defect. Reddit is full of those legitimate complaints, and I hope someone at the factory is made QC person for that single issue, as it really betrays all the quality possible with the SSPro system and sheds the car in a less than stellar light.
5. comfort and serenity on long drives = better than any car I’ve ever driven

1. The combination of exceptional range with luxurious interior design is unparalleled. It’s why I bought the car, and I appreciate it every time I drive.

2. The most common question I get from gawkers is “What car company makes the Lucid?” It’s not something I anticipated, but I find it kind of fun to educate people about Lucid Motors. In a small way I feel I’m part of the company journey in a way I have never felt with other cars.

The car is so nice to be in and to drive that I don't want to get out of it. I am probably one of the only people in the country that wish they had a longer commute to work. I'm always disappointed when the ride is over.
