I live by Mansfield Tx. Not seen much of lucid around. I finally took delivery of my air pure. To my greatest disappointment, at full charge I am getting 406 instead of 419 estimated range. Not sure if there are similar experiences!!! Please let me know if you had similar challenge. What are the other things to look out for?

@Sleekdunga you'll love the car -welcome! The max rating are rarely achieved on any EV (not a Lucid issue)....may be tire size. Lucid added adjustments to make the software estimating more accurate if you have 19s vs. 20s vs. 21s.

Question... is this a 2023 Pure AWD or a 2024 Pure RWD? That would explain the range difference.

The OP posted a pic of his car with 19 inch wheels. @Sleekdunga - For 2024 Air pure RWD models the rated range is 419. For 2023 Air Pure AWD, rated range is 410 with 19 inch wheels. Kindly confirm your model year. Also the car computer will also estimate range based on the driving habits (if any miles were there upon delivery) and will recalibrate accordingly.

I've done some more research.. apparently, 406 miles was the range figure Lucid thought they would achieve for the Pure RWD, but they did not (they got 419).

But anyways.. I think the most likely thing here is that it was a 2023 Pure AWD. It would be very odd if they showed the 406 figure instead of the 419.

Beautiful car! You may want to add some ceramic tints to it like mine…. Makes the car a lot less hot.

In terms of range, you will not get 419 or 406 miles anyway. Real world miles will most likely be in the 300 to 350 range depending on your driving habits. But, I would call service as the 406 or 419 epa range is a software thing and they might have put to wrong setting on the car. Anyway, as you get used to high gen and driving this car, you will switch the miles of range to % anyway. % is a better way to see your miles as it is not overstating it.

Right, at a steady speed of about 40mph you'll achieve EPA range, because this is the average speed of the EPA test protocol. Range is noticeably reduced at freeway speeds.
This has nothing to do with your concern, as the car display shows remaining range based on EPA efficiency.

What tire dressing do you use?

Agree. Many EVs adjust the estimated range based on your driving history. That is somewhat more accurate but still assumes that all the conditions in that history are consistent: weather, elevation, speed, stop & Go, etc.; SOC is definitely a better way to proceed and I would suggest doing so conservatively. Remember that charging from 20-50% is way, way faster than from 60-80% (for example). Quick stops are better than long ones and also nicer to your fellow EV drivers.

Welcome to the TX Lucid club! I received my Black AT in 12/22 and have already put over 26K miles on it! Just too much fun to drive! As stated throughout this Forum, I wouldn't worry too much about achieving the EPA rated range as your realistic range is too dependent on your environmental conditions and your driving style. Would agree you should consider getting a wrap and tint for driving on our TX roads during the summer....

You got 400 miles of range?!!! I get 320 miles in 100% battery.

EPA figures are bogus. Something you quickly learn when you buy an EV! Take away 20% and that’s more realistic (as others have said).
