First and foremost, thanks to the hand-raisers that offered to be one of the first to receive UX 2.0. We’re very appreciative of your passion and are hopeful the new OS is living up to expectations.

As you know, the update consisted of several OTA updates. As of today, 2.0.24 is the latest and greatest software version. In analyzing data over the weekend, it looks like many customers have yet to accept and install some of the updates in the series.

I wanted to reach out and advise the group of the 2.0.24 version number. If you’re on it, you’re up to date. If not, check your app or pilot panel to see if there’s an OTA update waiting for you. If there is not, please call, SMS, or email our Customer Care team and they can help facilitate the push. We’ll continue to engage customers here and outside the forum to encourage them to stay up-to-date with updates.

If you are on 2.0.24, feel free to leave your thoughts and feedback here. The team won’t be responding in real-time, but know that they’re paying attention and keenly interested in your feedback.

Cheers!

I have had my Gt for 9 days but I will be brutally honest, my Tesla M3 software is head & shoulders better.

I appreciate your support but after 10 days of owning my Lucid GT, I am so surprised that for $150k, my Tesla M3 software and driver interface puts the Lucid to shame. Forget all the new company and learning the business, the software is not reliable or even close to what it should be. I love the GT driving and engineering, but after a year or so, the software issues are ridiculous for a car costing this much. The SC and techs I have interfaced with are fantastic and your support is awesome but to pay $150k for a car that is cripple, I will not accept the excuses that Lucid is new, Lucid is a startup, we are early adopters, etc....that is pure BS. Lucid dropped the ball and is playing catchup. Your saving grace is the car is spectacular and your team is very supportive. Hope the future is better and software reaches a state of reliability soon.

while i appreciate an honest, i did not see a single detail of how exactly tesla m3 is better than lucid.

can you perhaps list out exactly what is bothering you?

I have never seen a “highway assist available” message nor has pressing and holding the cruise button been able to activate it.
Out of curiosity, what button are you considering the “cruise button”? Wondering if maybe you aren’t hitting the Dream Drive button.

The Model 3 has a charging timer, maximum charging current setting, seats start to move instantly on profile change, you can send a destination from Google Maps on phone to car (without having to look it up again on car's app), can reach the garage door controls while backing up, trip energy monitoring/estimation graphics, very accurate state-of-charge estimation on road trips, plug n charge that works, just off the top of my head.

Car opens when I approach, car listens to my commands and reacts, one pedal driving is effortless and works, my software comes on when I enter car, homelink is automatic, navigation is spot on, etc. Come on, I cannot believe you do not think the Lucid software is at that level yet. i

I just bought the car and the last 2 days I've been doing nothing but installing updates as the previous owner was still on like 1.0.05 or something lol....I think I did 12 updates or something. Im now on 2.0.24 and have tested the highway assist.

I really really need to get a loud warning when the lane centering/ steering wheel turns off like tesla does...I hate the fact that every other manufacturer besides tesla does this... why lul the driver into a false state of confidence to only have the system turn off quietly without letting anyone know? Especially mid corner lol?

The tesla would not only continue to try to drive within the lanes but at the same time warn you like there's no tomorrow for you to take control.

I would also like to see more options to have more info displayed on the drivers screen

You can't compare Lucid's current software to Tesla, Mercedes or most other manufactures. Version 2.0.24 is basically a release candidate for version 1 production software. The next release, I hope, will be a stable production release. Then we should see CarPlay and Android Auto and next year a host of UI and functional improvements. It's going to take some time.

Get an Audi and tell me Lucid isn’t better on software. Charging timer is non existent, current setting is non existent, cant send destination from google maps etc.

Everyone is so quick to compare to Tesla but won’t call out other brands for flawed software as well. Lucid at least is listening to customers and changing the software based on feedback which is a lot more than many other automakers are doing.

If you live and die Tesla then you will never be happy with anything else so just stick with Tesla.

@MoniputerLM- I agree that Lucid is working hard to achieve some sort of stability in their software. My point is that they knew what Tesla had, they have the software gurus to do the job but opted to release the car without a stable but basic software model. They should have realized their software base architecture was flawed. That is why they get the big bucks. I can forgive a lot being a new auto company but, at this price point, I expect a fairly stable vehicle. If you are honest about it, they were not ready. Great car, great engineering but not ready to sell to the public. When the software reaches the level my Tesla has, it will be the best vehicle on the road.

Oh, forgot Sentry mode and the recent ability to live-stream video from the car's cameras to your cell phone. Haven't figured out a use for that last one though.
That said, Tesla is missing 360-degree cameras, blind-spot warning in side mirrors, and auto rear cross-traffic/pedestrian braking. And it took Tesla ten years to add GPS waypoint capability.

Let me be clear. Lucid senior management screwed up bigtime managing the software group. They hired the wrong people? They didn't start on time? They didn't have good specifications? Probably all or the above. It is what it is at this point. I hope that they have competent management in place now and next year we will see a much better product.

But imagine paying $130k for crap quality and crap software... isn't that what tesla did on the model s back in the day?

At least lucid built a good car where they only need to update software while you still can't get a decent quality tesla

My son has a 6-year-old Model S. Yes, it has had some electronics repaired but still looks very good and drives great.

But the quality of the car itself sucks... sure it drives ok but nothing like a $100k should... not sporty or comfortable

Not my experience. It's a good car.

So I'm assuming you didn't buy the tesla new because if you did then didn't your $100k car software suck back then?
I don't like the minimalist Telsa experience. I like the DE interior better. Just personal preference. I don't like Mercedes or Audi. I do like BMW.

The left most button on the steering wheel that it says to hold down in the owners manual

As for me, I rather have top notch hardwares + luxury comfort with potential software improvement than boasting best software out there and gradually stripping hardwares.

Lucid AGT and Tesla MX are basically same price point.

I have three occasions of Model-X owners got in my AGT felt it worth better for the money for AGT than their Model-X.
