I want my Touring in--

Silver
Metal roof
No DDPro

The Trifecta of Delay....am I looking at a year more?
The DD vs DD Pro isn't a limiting factor. It is the stereo vs upgraded stereo that is the other limiting factor (oh and 20" wheels too, I suppose)

But they still cant produce Silver, right?

I'm not sure if they sorted silver colored paint out yet. But items 1 and 2 (silver color and metal roof) are still going to have you waiting the longest.
But, the longer you wait, the more time Lucid has to sort out the gremlins and incorporate other desirable items that folks are clamoring for.

Totally agree that the wait has benefits.....

Little Easter egg for the keen eye on twitter today. Solid roof

Interesting change for me in the account section of the web site. Not sure when this happened, as I've been traveling and haven't checked the site much lately.

On the Reservations and Orders page, I no longer see the image of the configuration I ordered. Instead, I get a Black Dream Edition pic. It does say Touring in the text, though.

And while it has my confirmation date correct for August 10, it no longer shows my "reservation" date anywhere. I also can't load the design I saved from here. I can only view the order, which is a barebones invoice of sorts, with the base price of the car (without any of my selected options). Looks like the thing we'll want to download for our accountants come tax time, if anything. I also have a longer, more official order ID.

Anyone else find this odd? Or is this more akin to what GT folks see after they "order" but before they confirmed their car? The only scary part to me is the lack of any evidence of my original reservation date, and the fact that my preferences for options do not seem to be saved anywhere that I can see them anymore. Maybe because they don't want people changing their options anymore until the official "confirmation"? Who knows?

Solid roof, and it appears to have a sun shade. So, Touring? Or maybe the Pure will get a sun shade, after all?
I’m guessing Touring and it’s probably not that far away if so.

As far as we know, no Tourings have been confirmed yet. And the solid roof ones are going to be built at the end of the delivery cycle. So this is likely a test car of some sort, then? Getting prepped for the real run?

I will not get my hopes up. I will not get my hopes up. I will not…

At this stage, I wouldn't be surprised to see testers getting done. Means things should be lining up to the timelines as you'd probably want to be getting testers going a few months out.

Same here. My Order Agreement doesn't say anywhere that anything is refundable, just that it's binding and they took a $1000 deposit. Also includes a $1650 destination fee and a $75 doc fee. Looks like the wording was designed to comply with the old $7500 EV tax credit requirements, following the vague guidance the IRS put on their website.

I confirmed my order 2 minutes before they sent the email saying that was an option, so theoretically I'm at the front of the queue...though we've seen with the GTs that this is not a strict ordering...

Just checked my order agreement. It says I have a Touring on order for $95,000 plus destination fee of $1,650, documentation fee of $75 but does not list any of the options I wanted. I'm guessing that I'll have to pay the going price for the options like DD Pro, panoramic roof and sound system. Does anyone know or gotten a read from Lucid?

My understanding is if you have the early pricing for the car, you will also get the earlier pricing for options. At least that’s how it was presented on the web site until this recent change took away the options visually. If Lucid is changing that policy, a LOT of people are going to be upset. Especially Touring customers, who will be purchasing many options.

I think it unlikely.

I asked the same question and they will honor all the old pricing for the upgrades

I received this from Lucid a couple of days ago:

Hope you are having a great week so far!

I am reaching out today to share that Lucid Financial Services recently launched a Lucid Air Payment Calculator to help provide directional guidance on payments for your Lucid Air Touring.

Once your order configuration is finalized and enters into production, the window to apply for leasing or financing will open, typically between 4-6 weeks from the anticipated delivery date of your Air.

For more details on financing or leasing programs, contact the Lucid Financial Services Concierge Team at (800) 817-9582 or [email protected].

I hope this provides some direction in the meantime.

Don't want to put too much into the message but could they be getting close?

I would call that a good sign. When was your original reservation date?

We just celebrated the 2 year anniversary of our Lucid Reservation (8/31/2020). My wife and I live in the S.F. Bay Area and we went to the Newark Corp. Headquarters to view the “mock” sales center and place our reservation before any of the showrooms had been created.

Of course we changed our reservation into order status to hopefully take advantage of the old tax rebate rules

We also picked only currently available colors and options so as not to delay production of our Touring on our end.

4th quarter almost here and fingers crossed to get a real confirmation of our production run beginning.

We are all rooting for you and Patrick, too! (for somewhat selfish reasons, I will admit … 🙂)
