I'm still on 2.8.16. I think they have skipped me for the various updates because somehow they know that my software stack is working REALLY well.

Yes. It means you can set different colors for your interior lights now.

I believe this update will unlock full ambient lighting for everyone; originally this option was software locked for everyone except cars with extended leather option.

When you change the theme of the car, the ambient lighting changes. Seems like this specific version of ambient lighting is coming to the Pure now. The leather (not PureLuxe) trims have more options for changing the ambient light in your car.

Has anyone actually received 2.9.0 yet?
So far only the original poster has reported an update. Wouldn't it be nice if Lucid had a status page so owners would not be guessing? It's starting to feel like Lucid pulled the update for whatever reason.
It must not be getting rolled out. My 26 Air is getting shipped back from service with 2.8.30 on it

“Must” is a strong term there
Ok if it’s coming from Lucid service, to me, with 2.8.30 on the car, then it must not be rolled out to 26 Air Tourings or I’d hope it would have been installed.

Cars in service do not always get all updates before others in the fleet. It's still random, unfortunately, unless service explicitly requests a particular VIN to be upgraded (or engineering decides, etc.)

My car is at a Service Center right now as we speak. I asked if they could push 2.9 and he was not too interested saying it was probably already scheduled; just let it happen in order.
