This isn’t about people being upset for no reason, it’s about continued missed commitments. Lucid said hands-free drive assist would arrive by the end of 2025, It didn’t. Then it became Q2 to then became “a few weeks.”. Now it’s showing Q3. That’s not a minor delay, it's a moving target and they don't have the common decency to keep owners informed, expecting them to piece together bits of information from forums, social media, etc.You get what you get and you don’t get upset. It’s like I tell my kids. Or “control the controllables” for those who prefer business.
We have zero control over these features, what Lucid promises or doesn’t, etc. Anyone owning the Gravity now bought it knowing some features were TBD. As I always say here, caveat emptor.
Still loving my car. Main issue for months was fob, but it’s good now, so I focus on enjoying the drive!
Telling people to just “accept it” ignores the fact that this was a promised feature tied to a flagship vehicle that’s been in production since December 2024. Owners aren’t asking for something new, they’re asking for what was already communicated.
You can enjoy the car, sure, I do as well! But brushing this off like it’s no big deal is exactly how companies normalize overpromising and underdelivering.
