Why are we getting throttled?I installed a "new" NACS LHCS 80A about a month ago. It has the throttling issue. It’s online, but I don’t think I have gotten any new software since then. Check out my charger info:

Unless the charger is sending a new pilot signal with a new amperage, then the throttling is due to the software in the car.Why are we getting throttled?
The car’s setting is set to 80amps…Unless the charger is sending a new pilot signal with a new amperage, then the throttling is due to the software in the car.
I ordered the Lucid charger at the end of November and I’m getting throttled after 15 minutes.I'm having trouble keeping track of this issue. Have we concluded that the throttling is fixed by the v3 (J1772) version?
And there are still a ton of us that don’t have Lucid chargers, where everything was working fine prior to May of this year and once that update around that time came through people started noticing throttling not just on the Lucid branded charger, but other chargers like my Tesla GEN three wall charger.I'm having trouble keeping track of this issue. Yes, so this indicates a problem with the cars, not the charger. And there are still a ton of us that don’t have Lucid chargers, where everything was working fine prior to May of this year and once that update around that time came through people started noticing throttling not just on the Lucid branded charger, but other chargers like my Tesla GEN three wall charger.
Yes, but the car can request a different amperage as needed: For example, when approaching 100% it cannot maintain 19kW and ramps down amperage. But it should be able to support the full 19kW to at least 80%. At least that's what it did for my cars previously. The car’s setting is set to 80amps…
My LCHCS is a completely different part number than yours (that makes sense since you have a NACS connector). Mine is version -03 of the J1772 version, which supposedly solves the throttling problem. I could be wrong though--usually am. Just ask the wife.I ordered the Lucid charger at the end of November and I’m getting throttled after 15 minutes.
I was charging my car last night at 12am. The car started at 42%. It started charging at 19kw for 15 minutes. At 12:15am the charging dropped to 11kw and maintained this until it hit 80%.Yes, but the car can request a different amperage as needed: For example, when approaching 100% it cannot maintain 19kW and ramps down amperage. I want to clarify that the car doesn’t actually request different amperages from the EVSE (or charger). The EVSE advertises the maximum amperage, and the car can draw up to that limit. When I mentioned “requests,” I meant that the car determines its own needs.Yes, but the car can request a different amperage as needed: For example, when approaching 100% it cannot maintain 19kW and ramps down amperage. I see…I guess I’ll have to continue pushing this issue up the Lucid chain to find a solution. Either it’s the charger or the car, but I’ll need to start crossing possibilities off the list.My LCHCS is a completely different part number than yours (that makes sense since you have a NACS connector). I just installed the lucid home charger NACS version and I’m still getting throttledThis is unquestionably a software issue. They may have fixed it at least in part through a revision to the LUCID home charger but that’s only specific to that charger. The key is people were not getting throttling on whatever they were using to charge at home…and then in May they were.
I just installed a Grizzl E 80a Ultimate and it's throttling as well. It will run 80a/19kw for about 10-40 minutes then throttle down to 48a/11kw for remainder of charging session. I lowered the car to 64a/15kw and it did the same thing lowering to 38a/9kw. It's has to be the battery management system software throttling this 60% each time. Anyone else have this issue?I just installed the lucid home charger NACS version and I’m still getting throttled
Sounds like a variation of the same overarching situation reported in this thread. Nothing much to do but wait for hopefully an update addressing it.I just installed a Grizzl E 80a Ultimate and it's throttling as well.
