2.8.17 update

I thought the same thing about the 2.8.16 update but I finally received it after about three weeks. All the other updates have come to me within about three or four days.

I got 2.8.17 even when I didn’t want it, a few days after general release.

The update seems to have eliminated the bugs that came out in 2.8.16, having to do with HDA, or whatever Lucid calls it now.

Efficiency seems to have returned to pre-2.8.16 levels. But the best part, the audio sounds really, really nice! Every bit the equal of that of our seven-year-old Tesla Model X. Further, the Lucid’s cabin is well insulated enough so you can actually hear it.

I thought I was hallucinating (and may still be), but I'm seeing 4.0+ miles/kwh on a '23 AT. It's my wife's daily driver and she cares nothing about efficiency, but I do. The area I live in has a lot of 0-50+mph main thoroughfares, which is the enemy of efficiency.

I'm on 2.8.17, but I had interpreted the higher efficiency to the temperatures (high 40s - low 70s) rather than the update. Either way, I don't remember seeing such good efficiency numbers since the car was new.

Same. I think the update might have changed the efficiency calculation or at least reset it in some way.

I've noticed the same on mine. Driving to the airport yesterday was noticing as high as 4.25 when normally I'd be in the 3-3.5 range.

Only negative I've noticed is that my car seems to stay on when I get home. There's been a few times when I've been sitting in the house and hear a noise in the garage, only to discover the car is still on. Keys are in the same spot as they always are, maybe 25 feet from the car, but it used to shut down more quickly.

My car has stayed on a few times since the update as well

2.8.16 update but I finally received it after about three weeks. All the other updates have come to me within about three or four days.

Looks like someone received it as a new option to install last Friday. Anyone receive it more recent that that?

so... since the last update (16) and still the same w/ this new update.. a weird thing happened w/ my 100% charge mileage. My 25 AirGT for the last year (most often charging only to 80%), at full charge would indicate 477 miles of range when at 100%. In fact, before the v16 update, I did charge to 100% recently for a trip to Tahoe, and recall mentioning to my wife in the car what our range was (477mi) Since the update, I only see 440 miles of range at 100%. Anyone else see this?

This update started OK.. but it has deteriorated. Today leaving a location I set a new destination in the nav. I was surprised to see it was navigating to my previous destination. Then Drive Assist stopped working, (would not launch), then it said my cameras were out. Continued my errand, and when I got back in everything was fine. Maybe a memory leak, I'm not used to seeing car software get worse as time goes on. One of the more irritating 'improvements' is it forgets my last audio listened to. Today I got out of the car with Tune-In playing. When I got back in it switched to Sirius XM(!) I put it on Tidal and the next time I got back in the car it switched on its own to Tune In. Time after that it switched to Car Play audio. This is kind of nuts. I'd like to choose what I'm listening to, not fiddle with the audio every time I get into the car.

I haven't had any problems with any of the updates.
Somebody need post this now and then.
Folk will get the wrong impression if all they see are unhappy campers all the time.View attachment 35169

I too havent had any problems with any of the updates. And, in addition to adding incredible robustness, they have always improved the car.

Also, I drove 200+ miles (averaged 70-75 mph) after the update in frigid New England with the heat and seat warmers on and my efficiency improved to 3.6 m/kW (the highest I've ever achieved in the winter -- had the Air for 16 months and 20,000 miles), v. 3.0 before the update in similar weather at similar speeds.

Can someone answer why an update works flawlessly for some and others have significant issues?

I am still with .16, but it's like having two different cars. Yesterday, no regen and 2.3 mi/kWh, today regen and 3.8 mi/kWh. No significant difference of temperature or routes.

On a 3 hour road trip, exclusively highway. 80mph average speed.

My efficiency has significantly improved with 2.8.17 update, to about 3.4 mi/kwh for highway (80mph), from about 2.9 to 3mi/kwh

Mobile key recognition is faster too.

This is definitely a robust update for me (improved regen, audio, efficiency, and mobile key performance)!!! Loving it!

Driving in pouring rain too.
It's 51F (just using seat & steering wheel warmers), 20"wheels, no aero caps, ccv2 update.

So strange that they have paused its rollout - seems to be a good update generally!

Has anyone noticed this horrible noise and vibration from the steering column when it adjusts when opening or closing the door. Part of the seat adjustment routine.

I’ve noticed with this release that my drive setting occasionally changes from Hold to Roll. I’ve seen this before right after a software update, but in this case it has switched on its own 3–4 times since moving to version 2.8.17. It’s not a big issue, just something I wanted to flag.
