Oh bummer! My car hasn’t been offline once since doing the hotspot trick over a week ago so my fingers were crossed that it would work for you too.

That's one of the many things I like about this forum -- we do all look out for one another. Appreciate the suggestion, even though it didn't work for me

My software updates without approval. I mentioned for the October update I got stranded because the software just started updating while I was out running errands. Same thing this time and I was being extra careful not to take any action.

I've decided it's too subjective to matter. @copper and I have run frequency sweep tests, I have a background in mixing/mastering music, etc. - the Gravity (and the Air before it, but especially the Gravity) is one of the most responsive and widest soundstages in any vehicle. Moreover, it is extremely consistent and can be very flat if you want it to be. But it absolutely highlights the crappiness of a crappy source; you will hear the compression.

I love it. Others won't. I hate Tesla's sound system. Others love it.

I prefer the Audio-Technica "sound," and Grado's. Others like Sennheiser or B&O.

It's all subjective. I'm sure they're both great.

Most companies that sell consumer audio equipment deliberately "distort" the sound to accommodate for the average consumer actually not preferring an audio system with a flat frequency response. Then music labels react by mixing their recordings with the assumption that the listener is using a music system that isn't flat. If I were an audiophile, it'd be enough to make me tear my hair out. Luckily I actually have pretty low standards, and am thus very easily pleased by sound systems.

I've been on the edge of ordering for over a month now. These small, irritating bugs should be a couple hours work if I work slowly. I keep thinking we'll see new releases every couple of weeks knocking out these a few at a time but its not happening. As a potential customer (or you owners) we are not hearing squat.

Not sure why I should give Lucid money for a product like this with no assurance our concerns are even being heard.

No one is forcing you to give Lucid any money. If you feel that strongly about it, don’t buy the car.

You 100% sure no one has the app on another device triggering this? It’s strange because in the 3+ years of owning Lucid’s, I’ve never had it auto install an update.

Contact Lucid and see if have a way of seeing what device triggered the update, whether it be from a mobile device or in the car itself. They may not go that granular with logging but worth a shot.

Backup cameras have no ambient light. IMO it’s not safe to rely on them in low light situations. They do not have a night mode either.

I haven't driven one at night yet (still on order), but I don't get this.

My Land Rover floods enough light behind it that the backup camera is great for totally dark situations (or maybe the camera is just better?).

is the Gravity problem more the camera (resolution? contrast? quality?) or that the backup lights are just weak?

Gravity lacks night mode (IR). So unless there is a reasonable external source of light, the cameras dont produce any image.

Lucid should really update the rear camera - I'll take one if there is a retrofit available in the future.

IMO an IR enabled rear camera is a MUST have for all vehicles today.

Honestly I was shocked how bad the image was on the backup camera and side view cameras when using the signals. I've test driven quite a few cars this year in our search for a new one and the Gravity easily has the worst cameras I've seen, including on some ICE cars.

Agreed about side cameras which is why I was wondering and asked if it was a bug a while ago. Backup camera is good/normal to me.

What car has IR enabled rear camera? I did a quick search and couldn't find any. I agree it would be a nice to have.

My only comparison is our Lyriq and Benz, and the Lucid Gravity rear camera works fine with similar video quality in all lighting conditions.

My only gripe is the low resolution side cameras (if its not a bug/focus issue)

Agreed about side cameras which is why I was wondering and asked if it was a bug a while ago. Backup camera is good/normal to me.

That makes me wonder if it actually did change at some point or if the Gravity I test drove had something going on because the back up camera image was really bad when I drove it back in August. Seemed worse than the side views, it looked super low resolution and was stuttery.

I hear mistakes in music on the radio and it pains me, but others just don't hear them. It's fine, but it's why I absolutely love the Surreal Sound Pro systems with high-quality sources.

It’s Sawyer Merritt so won’t even give it the time of day. That guy is so far up Tesla’s ass he can never do an objective review of any other brand. He’s been trolling Lucid for years.

While he had some positive comments, I'm surprised this doesn't have "But no FSD!" superimposed over the entire video, because that's all some people in his sphere seem to care about.

Same here on my DE with all sorts of key/fob issues but seems to be getting a little better with the latest update. However, still not reliable and I hope the phone key is in the works...that has been bulletproof on my Teslas.

Two issues I wonder if others have had:

1. Microphone volume very low. I am unable to use the in-car microphone as the other party says the volume is very, very low. As a result, I use my AirPods 100% of the time for in-car calls. The local Lucid tech has ordered replacement microphones, and we will see if that fixes the issue. I was able to demonstrate by calling the tech from inside the car while switching between the car microphones and my AirPods - the difference was notable. Anyone having a similar issue...maybe something to do with a SW setting for gain?

2. Creature comfort hangs. I have found that about 30% of the time, when I return to the car after enabling creature comfort for my dog, the screen refuses to go out of the creature comfort mode, and no buttons anywhere work. I have tried to reboot several times, and each time it returns to the creature comfort screen and is unresponsive. At this point, the car seems bricked. What has cleared the issue is simply opening the driver's door after I have been in the car and tried multiple reboots. It looks like the door being opened from the inside exits a hung creature comfort state. This is clearly a SW issue and should be addressed.

The car is absolutely fantastic to drive, and the DE with the large tires still has a great range compared to my Teslas. Love it. Just if some of the SW issues would stabilize and be addressed....
