Gravity Bugs / Issues

The car went absolutely berserk today after getting washed. The driver’s side door wouldn’t unlock, so I hopped into the driver’s seat via the passenger side door. The system was throwing errors like mazel tovs at a bar mitzvah. Door latch error, suspension error, rear steering error, turn signal error, you name it. And the driver’s side mirror wouldn’t unfold and the car wouldn’t leave park. But the car was on and it knew the key was in the car. Did many many hard reboots to no avail. Called Dana at the KoP studio and she suggested taking the battery out of the key fob, walking away from the car for 10 minutes, praying to the deity of my choice, and then coming back. I did, and here’s the craziest part - the car was COMPLETELY FINE. It was like I left Regan MacNeil from the Exorcist and came back to Molly Yeh from Girl Meets Farm. WTF is that? Why does taking the battery out of the key fob have anything to do with crazy random system errors? Also, note that this is tolerable when its just me on a sunny afternoon. But I’m going to get eaten alive when this happens to me + 6 smelly, tired, hungry kids after swim team practice at 8:30pm in a blizzard. My epitaph will be “But he really wanted to beta test a $120k EV."
I watched it, they were pretty fair about it I'd say. They were talking about how wonky the 3 row seat deployment is, and it reminded me of my 2002 Mercedes that had a cup holder that deployed with 7 moving parts. A single cupholder- 7 moving parts. but, it worked!re: backup camera and darkness.
FYI Consumer Reports posted a podcast video where they talk about the Gravity and they called out that in the dark; the backup camera is basically useless.
I think the video is worth watching in its entirety with an open mind.

Not sure how often you had planned to wash it, but you're gonna want to increase that rate for awhile.
Or maybe just wet the car and go through the motion, time, process, etc. as if actually washing.
Maybe your car hates water.
@hmp10 's car loved water (oceans and bays)!
Some kind of way to recreate or simulate the conditions of today.

Lucid said they wanted to look at the car, but they would trailer it next week there and it would sit for about 1 week in the queue. I have this scheduled, but just came back from my 200 mi drive home and no more Drive System alerts. I'll wait a few more days and see how it goes.

They picked mine up today in some cool like enclosed supercar looking transport it was awesome!!! The car drove up on a bed, and then the bed lifted it and moved it like a vending machine. It was really cool. They actually got to me earlier than they thought so you might get it earlier too. The shipper they use was excellent. Zero complaints. You should let them take a look.

They said the brakes were done and smoking after 3 days on the track. Who's tracking an SUV like that and if you really are tracking anything, it's brakes and tires would be long done after 3 days of hard driving. Just seemed super ridiculous for them to mention it. Did they run the other two hard? Probably not bc they can't perform close to Gravity like that.
They seem biased against the Gravity. They said that the second row seats have to be folded flat to get into the third row. That’s not true - there’s a large button on the side of the second row seats that automatically slides them forward. Also the interior is much nicer than the Vistiq, which isn’t even close to the EX90. Also, there’s no way the sound system is better in the EX90. I’m not a Lucid fanboy by any stretch (see many of my prior posts), but this feels like a hit piece.

I've decided it's too subjective to matter. @copper and I have run frequency sweep tests, I have a background in mixing/mastering music, etc. - the Gravity (and the Air before it, but especially the Gravity) is one of the most responsive and widest soundstages in any vehicle. Moreover, it is extremely consistent and can be very flat if you want it to be. But it absolutely highlights the crappiness of a crappy source; you will hear the compression.
I love it. Others won't. I hate Tesla's sound system. Others love it.
I prefer the Audio-Technica "sound," and Grado's. Others like Sennheiser or B&O.
It's all subjective. I'm sure they're both great.
They make a point that bugs me- wish there was a "home" button on the pilot panel- would be great to have that as the programmable button

It occurred to me I never replied here with the results of My test. Was able to connect my Gravity to my iPhone (as WiFi hotspot) but it didn’t stay connected long and, crucially, didn’t “reset” anything. My car, whenever away from Wi-Fi is simply offline. Hoping the SC sorts this out when I drop the car off next week.

I'm not sure what a home button would accomplish. I saw them talking about it and what exactly would a home button do? You can press any of the buttons on the bottom row to go to any screen you wanted to. A home button seems superfluous to me.
It's more about user experience than utility imho. It's the difference between tech bro and Grandpa. Luxury vehicles need to feel right to Grandpa, even if superfluous. Hence why we have physical buttons on a lucid and none on tesla. Yes people can get used to it, but it's an unnerving experience. Iphones and Androids all get you home easily. That's what we are used to even if we don't need to be home. I'm also a cancer so I bring my home with me whatever I go
