Got the orange turtle of death tonight, for the first time. I pulled over and did a hard reboot, but the turtle came back as soon as I put the car into drive. I reached my first destination, did a hard reboot, and left the car for about 15 minutes. The turtle came back a few minutes into my next drive. Reached my second destination, did a hard reboot, and left the car for about 2 hours. The turtle did not come back at all on the final leg of my trip, which was as long as the first two legs combined, although I did not have as much sustained driving at highway speeds, and I did not use DDP. A few notes:
- This is the first she’s been at highway speeds for any sustained period of time.
- This is the first she’s had DDP on for any sustained period of time.
- Lane departure avoidance also seemed to be wonky. I have it set to warn + correct, and she kept trying to push me back into the lane when I wasn’t even close to the line.
So....what now? Do I call the SC and report it, just to be safe? Can Lucid remotely pull error data from the car, so they can see what the car thought was going wrong? For example, what if it was a rear motor overheat, which didn’t repeat itself after the motor cooled down and outside temps cooled down?
Has anyone else had this happen and it turned out to be absolutely nothing and never happened again?
