Interesting, I can click on this now.... but I haven't been looking at it so I have no idea whether it ever wasn't available, or when it became so.

I recommend you NOT apply for financing or lease until you know car is at, or really close to SC and/or you have delivery scheduled for certain. Many folks here applied and then had issues as approvals only last 30 days and it can take longer (often) for car to actually get to you. SA may tell you it is on its way only to say it hasn’t moved a week later. When they can tell you it’s AT the SC, apply. It literally takes under 10 minutes to get approved.

Thanks @Ron_Burgundy for the tip. I actually was close to doing it, but decided to hold off on the final steps until I'd heard something from my SA.

According to our SA on September 16, our Gravity had already completed production and was waiting for transport to Florida. No update since: no paperwork, no request for payment, Lucid website not yet showing "Preparing for Delivery".

I was not in a hurry to get it, as our first Gravity has been so plagued with problems that I wanted to wait for more production issues to be resolved. But now that it is built I'd like to get it ASAP, as our first Gravity will be probably another couple of weeks getting back to us from the most recent time in hospital. This second Gravity might be the only one we can reliably put on the road . . . or at least I hope we can.

P.S. Just heard from the SA while I was writing this post. Car will arrive at Miami Worldcenter tomorrow for PDI with delivery by end of month. As I suspected, we'll apparently be getting it before the first Gravity is back to us.

@hmp10...what kind of problems have encountered thus far?

Took delivery of an “available now” GGT on Sunday. The process was anything but smooth. The car is buggy. Most bugs already mentioned so don;t want to pile on here or the other threads. The one thing I haven’t seen anyone else mention is that when i plug my phone in to the center console port to charge, i get a “USB Device not supported” message every 2 minutes on the dash. Once is fine, but not during the entire drive.

Wanted to thank the folks here who posted the page to see the available cars. Was more helpful than waiting for a call from an SA. Prefer the DIY search. Also threads like this help me anticipate what to expect during the process. Excited to see how this goes and am reasonable optimistic that we are a few OTAs away from having a smooth operating machine.

Have you tried a different USB-C cable?

My SA indicated that means the car has passed factory inspection and is far enough along for the credit application process to begin.

This just happened to me today for my GDE.

I'm not sure this is the case. My vehicle just went into production 5 days ago, and "Apply for Financing" is already enabled on my dashboard. I don't think we could have gone through the entire build process including factory inspection in that time. Has that happened before?

Not that we’ve seen here. Our second GGT was start to gate about 14 days best we can tell. And that seems really fast.

FWIW, it took about 17 days from when my car went into production and when the "Apply for Financing" link went live.

I know my SA was surprised that I couldn't apply for financing when my car initially went into production and so she looked into it and this, what I mentioned above, is what the powers at be supposedly told her.

Whether it is has any bearing to reality, your guess is as good as mine.

Final update, I just heard from the local market leader and apparently, it sounds like my new GDE is an orphan that someone decided not to buy and that's why my status suddenly changed to "preparing for delivery." There's no connection to the vehicle that I had previously been tracking.

1. Lucid to send the PO for the Gravity to me
2. Wire the funds - I do have the wire instructions. Obviously, they will not ship until Lucid clears funds.
3. Ship the vehicle to my home in Utah.

All this on or about Sept 30. We shall see.

Same boat. Received all the wire transfer instructions, pickup place and time assigned for Chicago on Tuesday.

Is it normal for the software updates page on the dashboard to say “an error has occurred “ when we’re less than a week from picking it up? It arrived in Chicago yesterday and we pick it up next Tuesday September 30th.

Yes. 100% normal if you’re referring to software updates, etc. Sometimes doesn’t show up correctly until day of or after delivery.

We should get confirmation Lucid received funds sometime tomorrow. Therefore #1 is finished and #2 is almost finished - Lucid to confirm. Once funds are confirmed, vehicle goes on transport and delivery will be in progress.

I mean, what could go wrong? If anyone else is on here who went through this, give us a nod and tell us what you thought of the process. When I bought my MX, I took a cashiers check to them. Lucid wants the wire transfer. We're paying cash, so that's what feels so off putting.

Done wire transfers for 2 Lucids and they’ve always provided a car. They’re not some shady person in a dark alleyway asking for $120K and going to run away with it
