Software version 3.3.1

I’m sitting at the service center right now, getting a few software things updated. I’m seeing if they can activate the homelink as well as do whatever they need to on the 3.3.1 update. The homelink seems to be taking the longest, as it seems they almost have to revert the software to something previous, then reinstall. The advisor said it could take 2-3 hours. I was like come on, I already did the hard part of installing 3.3.1 for you! I’m joking of course. The new software has been great so far. I noticed the car wakes a lot faster, as someone mentioned. Also, I used to have this bug where my phone never synced the contacts automatically. I always had to go into settings and select the option, even though the phone was connected already. Now, it acts as it should. I connected a USB drive to check out the driver recorder and it works great. Just like in Tesla and Rivian. When you manually select it to record, it takes a 1 min clip by including the 30 secs pervious to the icon being pressed, and then 30 seconds after. Reviewing the footage is simple and easy I the car as well. So far, I’m impressed and happy with the update.

Also does the car seem to wake up super fast when using the mobile app?

Car wakes up super fast now for me.

If I put my iPhone on cell, Live View still doesn't work. I'm trying with the Gravity in the garage so the car is connected to home wifi though...
 
Well Im done. In addition to getting the home line activated, and the key software, it appears they did a few more things. Looks like there is a service item to add some extra soundproofing in the rear door. They also changed out the key fob battery (even though I bought a pack of new ones just in case). All in all, seems like a quick, easy service visit. Hopefully as I drive away, nothing will come up….

Actually went to the car to look at the manual and realized even Live View (without recording) seems to need the USB stick. Will try again after I find an old school USB stick lol

When mine works, WiFi is off but it doesn’t always work then. Probably less than 50% of time and I have full bars for cell coverage. It’s cool when it works though. And I am sure it will improve.

Right. The USB drive enables recording and then viewing of events from inside the car. Live view (as it’s supposed to work) is just a stream of video.

Clearly, there’s memory in the car though. The notes about recording say it adds 30 seconds to the beginning and end of any event - so it’s got to be recording and storing for short periods somewhere. This would also explain the weird images some folks saw in blind spot frame of cars they’d passed minutes before…

It works without usb stick - or it has at times. Maybe that’s why it’s not working consistently. I can’t imagine the USB is required to live stream but who knows…
 
Yep mine works without a usb stick.

Also I noticed that if you have wifi on, and already checked in the app. You need to turn wifi off, close the app, start the app again, then click on Live View. You cannot just turn wifi off and click retry. It won't work for some reason.

Oh its also worth noting the car is on cellular right now, not wifi

Hm ok that's what I originally thought... Then I guess next thing for me to try is to move the car out of the garage (and off home wifi)
 
Also not sure why the car considers 67% as very low battery...

I do get odd app notifications now. Like I didn’t used to get the “finished charging” notification with old app/car sw, but now I get it multiple times when car is fully charged.

So, there are some bugs in the app that may produce the very low notification.

As an aside, what’s the use case for adjusting suspension in the app and does it work for anyone? Even if I stand next to the car, it says I am too far…

My car is in a garage and offline, so can’t screenshot, but it’s an icon under the car where the windows, lock, etc are. You may have to click the little down arrow to expand the tray. It’s an icon with front of car and some arrows. If you click it, it shows the available heights. But as I said, it’s never let me adjust them.

the menu on the top, hit the little tab icon, it's nota slide down like you would think. suspension changes there. Also mine is hit or miss.

That will happen whenever the car wakes up, either with a key present or if you check it remotely. It “tops off” the charge and then immediately finishes. Air does the same.
