Gravity Delivery Discussion

My SA just txted me my car finished production and is awaiting transport! So 7/11 - 7/26 is the production time - maybe they've gotten efficient at making DE's. Lets see how much time from transport to delivery takes.

Would you mind telling us your configuration: color/interior/wheels/seating?

How responsive have your SAs been? Mine takes 2 to 3 days to respond to me every time I message her.
Mine gets with me in hours usually, or at least the next day. Texts or emails and has chatted on the phone a handful of times. She says she keeps an eye out of us and is really trying her best to get us one as we're one of the few of her customers who treat her nice and don't put undue pressure or unreasonable demands of her. She's a peach.

I took the Gravity up highway 39 all the way to Crystal Lake. It's a incredibly fun car to drive. So comfortable and capable. Hitting some of the undulations at speed caused the air suspension unavailable light to come on for a split second but it immediately went away without any drama.

Fun fun fun car.

Not sure if this means this Gravity had the module

While our Gravity DE has been in shops for the past three weeks getting PPF wrap and radar installation I have watched with growing unease as the list of software bugs and hardware issues being reported got longer and longer, with several of them having already been encountered in the few brief moments we spent in our car during that time. It brought increasingly to mind the experience with our early Air Dream Edition and the several times I came close to throwing in the towel on it.

We finally got the Gravity home today from the final installation job and have spent the last few hours driving it, and . . .

Lucid, my dear, all is forgiven.

Just as recent days on the forum have reminded me of all the pitfalls of being an early adopter with cars, these several hours behind the wheel of the Gravity have reminded me of why no other car on the planet can approach the exhilaration a Lucid generates from putting a stupendously powerful, roomy, quiet, luxurious vehicle through maneuvers that would unsettle many an exotic sports car.

The Gravity DE is truly the kitten that roars.

It's clear there's going to be some aggravation ahead getting various issues sorted out. But for the same reasons we're expanding our Lucid stable beyond our nearly 4-year-old Air Dream Performance, we intend to remain both disciples and ambassadors of the brand.

That sucks bc I was hoping too to be able to get a bike rack and haul our ebikes with the Gravity. At the very least, it seems it won't be possible with that hitch. Maybe in future there will be a good solution that comes to market...
It’s really just a math problem I didn’t have the patience to keep bending to my will or outright solving with the right combination of bike and rack weight. If you’re determined, you can do it 💪🏼

Every dysfunctional marriage takes some work haha. I’m in the same boat. My early build GT has required a stupid number of service visits but Lucid has done such a good job of keeping me in a working car and happy that I’ll remain loyal to them. I kind of like that I’ve learned so much and the Lucid/customer relationship is a lot more engaged and interactive than big automakers. Good people work for them and they are sincere about doing a good job. I’ve seen it over and over again.

I see the 110lb limit in the manual but I also thought I saw 6000lb towing capacity. Did Lucid back off of this claim?

Hearing so many stories like this is what made me take a chance and put out this kind of money on their cars. Every great car on the planet needs service and breaks down on occasion, but without that good support, it can be a nightmare experience.

600lb is max the tow ball weight (recommended 10% of 6000lb max trailer weight). A bike rack puts the weight much farther out which makes it larger lever and reduces the weight rating to 110lbs.

Errr. Ok so I'm a Tesla charger now. I plugged it in and the car screen says additional step required. Continue to Lucid app or pay at charging station.

I open the app and it says select click select station, but every time I do that nothing happens.

Saying less instead of fewer software bugs is probably accurate 😄
I’m counting this as a benefit for my Bronze with HUD

It’s more correct to say “fewer bugs” than “less bugs”. Of course it’s not good form to correct anyone’s English, and we’re being told over and over again, especially by the younger generation, that correct grammar no longer matters, and no one is ever incorrect.

…oooh…I think you touched a nerve in me I didn’t realise existed.

For those of you happy new owners of the Gravity, does the Gravity still have the “Lucid motor whine” that the early Airs came with?

My other question - how good is the wind noise suppression?

Yesterday I found myself wandering into my local Lucid Studio yet again, and yet again, I’m tamping down the very strong urge to place an order right now!!!
