Dude if I keep seeing different colors available I’m gonna keep changing my order and my car will never go into production.

Hahaha! Yes, I just took a look at the screenshot in my photos app on my iPhone and that is definitely NOT the AG color I ordered. I think I know what happened… the “enhance image” (magic wand) button is right above the “crop” button. I must have grazed it when cropping the screenshot, inadvertently enhancing the image color from Aurora Green to something closer to eggplant

Hitting revert on the image restored original settings / color.

Ok, just got off the phone with my SA. My Gravity DE 'gates' on July 25th. Gravity DE, AG, 21'/22" for those tracking upcoming builds. I should have a VIN assigned shortly after. Ready to get on this journey called Lucid!
Hoping I take delivery (Denver Studio) before the snow drops.

Isn’t gating when it’s done with production? If you’re factory gate at 7/25, there should be a VIN assigned already. It sounds like it hasn’t started production.

In my case, as soon as car switched to “in production”, I could see the VIN…

Also, right now, all the orphaned cars I’ve been offered are platinum, which adds $2,000 to the cost.

Platinum adds $1,000.

Indeed it does! My SA had written it adds $2,000. But I didn’t even check because I love stealth too much to change! Thanks for correcting.

Now that sounds like an SA looking for a $1,000 bonus.

I respectfully disagree as well. I’d probably be okay with it, but I don’t want to pay more for it…At this point, though, any Gravity in my driveway would be beautiful!!!

And this is why I accepted the orphaned platinum. I didn’t want to pay for it but didn’t want to wait longer than I had to due to extenuating circumstances I needed to get this done.

Another data point re: deliveries — GDE, AG, Tahoe, 22/23 here — Just received this note from my SA. So at least I now know the status change from “In Production” to “Preparing for Delivery“ doesn’t necessarily mean the vehicle is already at the SC being prepped:

Once it arrives at our Millbrae Service Center, our team will conduct a final pre-delivery inspection to ensure everything meets the highest standards before scheduling your pickup appointment.

Dang it. Now I am second guessing myself. Which I do daily!

My SA reached out asking if I am interested in orphaned cars. I said yes. Radio silence again since then.

haha.. Never said it was easy. I had to follow up a few times to get that list.

Yes, that's the price range of the cars I was shown. My SA just sent me a cut and paste of what was available at the time, no links to anything. I just had to take them at their word until they put my name on one, then I could look at the specs in the order and confirmed it was exactly as they said.

Yeah - Thats what makes me queasy so I ask to verify before I commit and then I get that link. Good to know that everyone else is dealing with the same problem.

I was recently offered a non platinum but then it had the largest wheels which I didnt care for.

I am not in immediate need of a new ride now, so I don't bother pushing too hard for more information. But given how the poor communication from my SA, I probably will cancel my order in a couple weeks. I will revisit next year when there is more inventory.
Main use of Gravity for me is family road trip during summer time. I don't think I am going to get anything this year before summer ends. Not driving much during winter so I will probably see what is going to happen next spring.

I'm heading this direction as well. I can't say this for certain, but based on other people are saying about their SAs, it doesn't seem like mine has strong compulsion to sell cars. Maybe there are extenuating circumstances, but the lack of communication is surprising.

With Tesla and Rivian, there WERE early buyers trying to flip for absurd dollars. I wouldn’t buy that, but it’s interesting to see none of the few Gravity have been advertised to flip.

Here’s the thing:

1) They don’t have “extra” Gravity to sell
2) They have more than enough to demand to sell the drip, drip of Gravity being built right now.
