I just tried to have a valet park my new Air for the first time i have mobile key set up and I used that to drive the car. When I got to the lot, I handed the valet the key card, told him the PIN and went into the restaurant. When it came time to retrieve the car, the new valet didn’t know the PIN and couldn’t get the car out of park. This seems like a really stupid system especially coming from Tesla where you could put the card key in a specific spot in the console and drive it. What do Lucid owners do when they have a mandatory valet garage and the valet needs to return the car? Even setting a pin like 12345 seems idiotic. Is it possible to disable the PIN requirement? Is there a valet mode I’m not aware of?

See here. Might be a small valet learning curve.

It seems the valet did not know how to hold the card in the proper place inside. As the vehicle owner, you should inform the valet of how to do that. This is precisely the reason that I provide any valet with my fob. In fact, that’s the only time I use the fob for anything.

I didn’t know the proper place until I read the thread linked in the previous answer. I’d like to explore your answer though. Do you carry the fob with you all the time just in case you might have to valet your car, or keep the fob in the car in case you have to valet, or use some other method?

Let the Fob be with you.

I keep a Fob in a Faraday pouch in the center console. Makes life easier
