Gravity Delivery Discussion

Also since no one/very few folks have a Gravity, wouldn’t make sense to have extensive release notes anyway at this point.

Or, @borski can you read them on your GGT?
There is nothing useful in any of the release notes for Gravity yet.

@borski did you get your DE yet or a confirmed data for delivery?
No confirmed date but I’ve gotten good news and should theoretically receive it sometime next week.

Otherwise it will be 6/24, because if it’s after that I’ll be in Kenya and will have issues with the loan.

They just offered me this if someone wants it call Lucid!!

there is a Gravity GT that is coming out of factory soon and is available. The only difference between your build and this one is the wheel size 21" / 22" your build is 22" / 23". Would you be interested in getting into this vehicle?

Could you tell us your configuration?

Also, your general location? That matters, per my SA. These “orphaned” Gravity have destinations and Lucid is trying to keep to/near those. For example, I am on East Coast and have been told twice “your location means you’re less likely to be able to get a car already in production”…I think they also want these delivered by end of June…but who knows…

It was loaded GT with 22/23 inch wheels Green with Tahoe Interior. It had HUD so not sure if HUD is available for all.

I was equally surprised how quickly I received my Air GT back in 2022 as well.

They offered me the same several days ago, but I wanted a 5 passenger config.

Again, where you’re located matters. Not just config. I know about that car and so does my SA and they won’t ship it to East Coast…or so I was told.

You sure you heard that correctly? Everything I’ve heard about these unassigned GT’s is Green, Tahoe, 22/23, NO HUD or power outlets.

True. I heard from SA no HUD but yes power outlet. They’re not putting HUDs in non-GDEs.

I think you are probably correct on this. During the brief call the other day with my SA, I got the hint they are trying to fill up delivery trucks to certain locations and I think that is determining order of delivery at the moment. I happened to get lucky that there was an open space on a truck heading to Houston which is why mine got shipped. Of course it obviously helped that it was a configuration that was already built and probably was one of the black ones sitting at AMP-1 during the last flyover.

So....after being told Tuesday that my DE was on the way to Houston (with expected arrival in Houston yesterday or today for a Dallas delivery this weekend) and then having radiosilence from my SA, I decided I would actually call the Houston studio/service center to see if anyone there could physically check to see if my vehicle is there. It seems as if it's NOT in Houston. This makes me wonder where exactly the car is at the moment and how disorganized the process behind the scenes truly is. I have to say this misinformed smoke and mirrors show isn't the greatest look for Lucid and for a luxury buying experience at this price point. Luckily I'm pretty patient and cool with getting the car whenever. I can't say everyone else would be as forgiving--especially if they have a lease ending or other deadlines to get the car in their garage. The Houston studio told me the delivery team is supposed to touch base with me tomorrow with more info. It will be interesting to see what they have to say.
Can you update? Did you ever get the call or the car?

This is what our Gravity has been showing for the past three days.

Just from a general software perspective and not knowing really anything about even Air version numbers and combining with bryway's post just before yours, I read...
- testing the web/owner UX with version "1.0.0", "1.1.0", ...
- pushing actual versions to the car (early builds of Gravity?) but the web incorrectly linking to the corresponding Air versions (web backend missing an upgrade?)
- finally getting to a 3.x build to the car (delivered cars are never supposed to see < 3.x on Gravity, right?)

And then scrubbing the web testing history of 1.0.0, 1.1.0, etc. remnants also seems plausible as others said.

Random barely informed opinion.

I still do not have the car. The last I heard from my SA was Thursday evening to tell me the car was in Houston and was going to be put under the PDI microscope which would probably take "a few days". He didn't commit to a delivery date as of yet though I'm hoping for some time this week.
