Gravity test drive

True. If I really wanted or felt I need a HUD, I just wouldn't wear polarized sunglasses. However, that is info any potential user should consider.
I can’t even imagine driving on a sunny day without polarized sunglasses! It just takes away all the windshield glare…

I read that some HUDs use digital light processing technology that allow them to be seen with polarized glasses.

Perhaps that will be the Gravity HUDs.

A customer's decision if they want a HUD:

  1. Get non-polarized sunglasses.
  2. Put on and take off polarized sunglasses while driving. Not too safe.
  3. Hope the HUD uses digital light processing tech.
  4. Look for polarized sunglasses specifically designed to work with HUDs
  5. Try adjusting seating position/viewing angle.
  6. ?
If no other choices, I'd go for #4. Based on how common this issue has to be, they probably exist.

@jedwin I change my choice. 😀 Actually I just chose to save myself $2600.

It depends on the quality of polarized lenses and the angle of polarization of the HUD. My Maui Jims show me the Ioniq 5 HUD clear as day; just less bright.

YMMV.

Please let us know how they work with your Gravity DE, once you have it.
