I reserved a White/Santa Cruz Touring on 8/12/2021
Had nice chat with the SA today. Not a whole of new information that hasn’t been discussed on the forum.
He confirmed that Touring will be delivered in the latter half of the year, overlapping with GT deliveries.
With my Feb 22 reservation, I’ll be looking at Q1 2023 delivery.
Old news from the SA: Dreams are still being delivered. Confirmed that bidirectional charger will be available later this year, price unknown. GT being delivered with the tire kit. T 20” wheels come with Michelin summer tires, 245 and 265. Definitely no massage feature for T. Dreamdrive Pro must be factory-installed. T test drive a few months after they are manufactured (!). Pure has been tested now for some time. A 19’ wheel can be used as a full-size spare

Reserved a month before you so I presume that puts me in Q1 2023 delivery timeframe as well. Disappointing to hear.
Me, too. May have to look at other alternatives.

Shocking to me that they'd be that slow still over a year after production kicks off, somewhat telling of what they expect production "ramp up" to be like.
SA backtracking in f/u email:

I think the most disappointing tidbit there was

Touring reserved 8/25/21. Zenith Red/Santa Cruz/20”/Glass Canopy/Sound System upgrade. All that said, the last I heard from anyone at Lucid was about three months ago. I guess I still have a ways to go………
I surely don't understand that logic, either. They should be available for test driving immediately, or, better yet, before delivery commences.

They are likely exhausting their entire manufacturing power to build vehicles for customers they don't have the ability to make test vehicles for Tourings yet. Some studios are going Grand Touring test drives in pre-production models.

They will, or just say you won't confirm until you can get a test drive. Also, if you are willing to travel some SCs will accommodate you, just say something about in town for vacation or something
We circled back to MB today and test drove the EQS.
Wife felt comfy with the car, likely from her familiarity.
All the essential features are there, albeit the 0-60 is so feeble, compared to the Air, and the brakes are so non-EV.
Probably go this route now and wait for the Pure whenever it comes out.
