We are nice enough to have an owner volunteer to do an AMA about their ownership experience with the Gravity so far.

Please post a question but also if your question has been asked, please vote it up so the most sought after questions are at the top of the list.

Anything off topic or not a question will be deleted. Keep this organized!

Very underrated comment/suggestion here. My current Audi has this feature and I use it almost exclusively to open AND close the trunk. My previous car (BMW M4) also had this feature to open the trunk.

I was hoping the Gravity would have this feature (though I'm pretty sure it won't). That being said, (and please correct me if I'm wrong)...but I believe I read a while back that Tesla added this as a new feature via a software update...which means maybe it could be developed--though tbh I'm not sure exactly what hardware sensors Audi and Tesla use for this feature and if that's already in place in the Gravity.
Not to be 'that' guy...
My wife has had one other car and never used the foot swipe feature. Her current car also has that feature but you need to have the fob with you. Oh yeah, she never uses that feature on this car either (2024 Subaru Outback). Some features are important to most and not for some.

The Tesla feature (added vis SW update) on my Model X doesn't require swiping feet under the bumper. You simply approach the trunk or frunk with your phone in your pocket, stand there for a few seconds, then the car beeps a few times, and either the frunk or trunk opens (depending on which one you're standing next to). And, of course, the frunk on every Tesla except the Cyber Truck is manually actuated, so on those cars, the frunk simply unlatches so it can be manually opened. I only use my frunk for long trips when I need to carry more gear than the car's interior volume will hold. Having said that, if it were a *power* opening and closing frunk, I might use it more often day-to-day. The fact there's no exterior button for the frunk on the Gravity doesn't bother me at all -- I'm thrilled it's power actuated, given the fully manual experience I'll be coming from.

Coming from Teslas the topic I care about most is ADAS, and so far I haven't seen one word about the state of that system in the Gravity -- not just here but anywhere. Does any driver assist even work yet?

Thank you Annie for doing this AMA! I wonder if you could take a couple more rear measurements as I have a very specific hauling use case and I’ve been having trouble reaching a final answer 🤩

I'm a Luddite. Help me here. I just found a link to this thread in a "Torque News" article. Has Annie's AMA been posted or streamed somewhere that I missed?

Nope, they just lifted things right out of here. And got things wrong in the process.

What'd they get wrong? It seemed like a mostly positive article that just lifted a ton of quotes, but I only skimmed it.

Dobby's famous!

You're right, it is mostly positive, it just irks me that it only picks quotes out of a forum thread and drops them on a for-profit site. The few things they added are stating it's a DE (nope) and claiming it's a modular platform that'll probably be turned into a pickup (what?)

Oh, it's trash "journalism" for sure

I was just curious if there were misquotes or something!

I'm looking forward to the Gravity Pickup™

A point of curiosity @TribbleTrouble:
Does the back of the middle seat in the 2nd row fold down when the 2nd row is upright?

I ask because when we test drove a BMW iX today, the iX’s 2nd row middle seat folded down independently of the other of the iX’s 2nd row seats and the Gravity’s 2nd row appears to have a similar mechanism (when looking at the back of the seats in videos).
Yes... It also automatically folds down with the left seat (middle row), but you can leave the left and right seats up and lower the middle seat. Does that answer your question? :)

How long does switching driver profiles take? (sorry if this has been covered already)

Man she is definitely famous!
This showed up in my Google feed.
I didn't search for anything.
Google just sending me stuff based on my interests and favorites I've designated.

You're now known as Tribble Trouble's husband.

Oh, good. Can you fit a 9.5' Xmas tree? I still need to be able to do this after I sell it:

I carried a 7-footer in my Air, so I'd be extremely surprised if you couldn't.

Air smelled like Pine for months, lol
